Enhanced Dehydrogenation and Hydrogenation Capacity of Poly(5‐Vinyl‐1‐Indanol) at Low Temperatures

open access: yesPolymers for Advanced Technologies, Volume 37, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Redox‐active polymer‐based hydrogen carriers store hydrogen gas through chemical bonding. Although existing redox‐active polymers utilized as hydrogen storage units (e.g., fluorenone and fluorenol) demonstrate reversible hydrogenation in the presence of iridium complex catalysts, they are often hindered by low weight‐based hydrogen storage ...

Theoretical studies of the dynamics of electron transfer in dye sensitized solar cells and of the mechanism of singlet fission in organic crystalline materials [PDF]

open access: yes
We present a theoretical and computational study on two different processes of interest for the development of third generation solar cells: (i) electron injection in dye sensitized solar cells (DSSCs); (ii) mechanism of singlet fission (SF) in organic ...

Real‐Time Monitoring of Excited‐State Ring‐Puckering Process in BODIPY Molecule Using Ultrafast Spectroscopy

open access: yesChemPhysChem, Volume 27, Issue 11, 15 June 2026.
Pyrromethene 597 (PM597), a commercial laser dye, shows a lower fluorescence yield than its analogues. Ultrafast dynamics studies using femtosecond fluorescence upconversion and transient absorption revealed that a non‐radiative ring‐puckering process in the excited state of PM597, occurring with a time constant of 1.3 ps, is primarily responsible for ...

Tuning the Photochemistry of Entatic State Model Systems

open access: yesZeitschrift für anorganische und allgemeine Chemie, Volume 652, Issue 9, 3 June 2026.
We present the photochemistry of the entatic state model [Cu(DMEGqu)2]+/2+, a copper guanidino‐quinoline complex pair. By transient IR and UV/Vis spectroscopy, we obtained the lifetimes of the different excited states. We show that the structural effect of the guanidine tunes the photochemistry of this entatic state model.

Photovoltage improvement for dye-sensitized solar cells

open access: yes, 2011
The efficiency improvement of dye-sensitized solar cells (DSCs) is critical for their commercialization and replacement of traditional silica solar cells. Generally, the energy conversion efficiency of DSCs is determined by the short-circuit photocurrent,

Influence of TiO2 Film Thickness on the Electrochemical Behaviour of Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2011
A commercial TiO2 powder was deposited on F-doped SnO2 (FTO) glass substrates by a spray coating technique with different thicknesses (6, 10 and 14 µm) to be used as photo-anode in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). N3 dye was adsorbed on each TiO2 film
