Default mode and motor networks facilitate early learning of implicit motor sequences: a multimodal MR spectroscopy and fMRI study

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract figure legend This study investigated the neural correlates of implicit sequence learning and the influence of high‐intensity interval training (HIIT). We show that early skill learning is linked to default mode network connectivity, whereas the overall degree of learning is associated with motor network connectivity.

Evaluating ESG effects on firm's technical efficiency with robust nonparametric frontiers: Insights from Asia

open access: yesInternational Transactions in Operational Research, Volume 33, Issue 2, Page 1052-1073, March 2026.
Abstract This study examines how environmental, social, and governance practices impact firms' technical efficiency, focusing on operational capabilities often overlooked in financial performance measures. Using a nonparametric frontier analysis with robust order‐m estimators, we analyzed 6033 firms across Asia from 2015 to 2022.

Hyperspectral Imaging: The Intelligent Eye to Uncover the Password of Plant Science

open access: yesModern Agriculture, Volume 3, Issue 2, December 2025.
Hyperspectral imaging (HSI) has emerged as a powerful non‐destructive technique for characterisation of the plant phenotype and physiological traits. The ongoing development of cost‐effective hardware, coupled with standardised acquisition protocols and open‐access spectral libraries, is accelerating its integration with multi‐omics approaches to ...

Non‐monotonic time‐ and frequency‐dependent diffusion kurtosis in the human brain revealed by pulsed and oscillating gradient experiments

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 94, Issue 6, Page 2358-2373, December 2025.
Abstract Purpose To investigate the time and frequency dependence of diffusion kurtosis in the in vivo human brain with pulsed (PGSE) and oscillating gradient spin‐echo (OGSE) experiments over a range of diffusion times and frequencies using high‐performance gradients.
