Dynamic behavior of a scroll compressor. (Dynamic analysis)

open access: yesTRANSACTIONS OF THE JAPAN SOCIETY OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS Series C, 1987
This study presents an analytical method to reveal the dynamic behavior of a scroll type compressor of small capacity. The calculated results are summarized on the basis of the gas-torque fluctuation, the crankshaft rotary behavior, the constraint forces at each pair of machine elements, the unbalanced forces of inertia, the compressor vibrations, the ...

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Investigation on Single Tube CFST Arch Models by Modeling Structural Stressing State Based on NSF Method

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
This paper investigated the behavioral characteristics of two single tube concrete-filled steel tube (CFST) arch models under different loads. Applying the numerical shape function (NSF) method, the limited strain data of arch models were interpolated to

Linking neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and myelination defects to neurodevelopmental disruption in primary mitochondrial disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

Influence Analysis of Underground Excavation on the Adjacent Buildings and Surrounding Soil Based on Scale Model Test

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering, 2019
In urban areas, it is common to construct underground structure nearby existing buildings. To investigate the impact of excavation construction on the adjacent existing buildings and surrounding soil, eight parallel scale model tests that considered the ...

Study on Stressing State and Failure Criterion of Concrete-Filled Stainless Steel and Steel Tubular Column

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering, 2020
In this paper, the mechanical characteristics of concrete-filled stainless steel and steel tubular (CFSSAST) columns under axial and eccentric loads are analyzed by using the theory of structural stressing state.

On the Unsteady, Dynamic Response of Phase Changes in Hydraulic Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 1979
This paper is concerned with the unsteady, dynamic behavior of hydraulic systems and, in particular, with the dynamic characteristics of internal flows involving phase-change and two-phase flows.

Plasma extrachromosomal circular DNA as a biomarker in EGFR‐targeted therapy of non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Detection of extrachromosomal circular DNA (eccDNA) in plasma samples from EGFR‐mutated non‐small cell lung cancer patients. Plasma was collected before and during treatment with the EGFR‐tyrosine kinase inhibitor osimertinib. Plasma eccDNA was detected in all cancer samples, and the presence of the EGFR gene on eccDNA serves as a potential biomarker ...

A Numerical Study on the Development of Self-Similarity in a Wind Turbine Wake Using an Improved Pseudo-Spectral Large-Eddy Simulation Solver

open access: yesEnergies, 2019
Large-eddy simulation (LES) is performed to investigate self-similarity in a wind turbine wake flow. The turbine is represented using an actuator line model in a pseudo-spectral method-based solver.

Dual targeting of RET and SRC synergizes in RET fusion‐positive cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Despite the strong activity of selective RET tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), resistance of RET fusion‐positive (RET+) lung cancer and thyroid cancer frequently occurs and is mainly driven by RET‐independent bypass mechanisms. Son et al. show that SRC TKIs significantly inhibit PAK and AKT survival signaling and enhance the efficacy of RET TKIs in ...
