Dynamic scaling in vacancy-mediated disordering [PDF]
We consider the disordering dynamics of an interacting binary alloy with a small admixture of vacancies which mediate atom-atom exchanges. Starting from a perfectly phase-segregated state, the system is rapidly heated to a temperature in the disordered ...

The role of histone modifications in transcription regulation upon DNA damage
This review discusses the critical role of histone modifications in regulating gene expression during the DNA damage response (DDR). By modulating chromatin structure and recruiting repair factors, these post‐translational modifications fine‐tune transcriptional programmes to maintain genomic stability.

Dynamic multiphase semi-crystalline polymers based on thermally reversible pyrazole-urea bonds
Dynamic polymer materials with reversible covalent bonds can reorganize their macromolecular architectures, and thus produce a macroscopic response to the environment.

Impact of the dicyanomethylene substitution position on the cyclophane macrocycle formation in carbazole-based biradicals [PDF]
π-Conjugated biradical compounds, featuring unique unsaturated valences and radical centers in the ground state, are fundamentally important for understanding the nature of chemical bonds and have potential applications in material science. [1] Recently,

The most puzzling aspect of the glass transition observed in laboratory is an apparent decoupling of dynamics from structure. In this paper we recount the implication of various theories of glass transition for the static correlation length in an attempt

Multidrug transporters BpeB and BpeF from the Gram‐negative pathogen Burkholderia pseudomallei have a hydrophilic patch in their substrate‐binding pocket. Drug susceptibility tests and growth curve analyses using an Escherichia coli recombinant expression system revealed that the hydrophilic patches of BpeB and BpeF are involved in the substrate ...

Theory of magnetism with temporal disorder applied to magnetically doped ZnO
A dynamic model of the asymmetric Ising glass is presented: an Ising model with antiferromagnet bonds with probabilities q arranged at random in a ferromagnetic matrix. The dynamics is introduced by changing the arrangement of the antiferromagnetic bonds

Dynamics of Bond and Stock Returns [PDF]
I present a production-based general equilibrium model that jointly prices bond and stock returns. The model produces time-varying correlation between stock and long-term default-free real bond returns that changes in both magnitude and sign. The real term premium is also time-varying and changes sign.

Mechanisms of parasite‐mediated disruption of brain vessels
Parasites can affect the blood vessels of the brain, often causing serious neurological problems. This review explains how different parasites interact with and disrupt these vessels, what this means for brain health, and why these processes matter. Understanding these mechanisms may help us develop better ways to prevent or treat brain infections in ...
