Nonlinear Dynamic Buckling of Sandwich Panels
Journal of Applied Mechanics, 1976Nonlinear dynamic buckling of simply supported rectangular sandwich panels with isotropic cores and with initial curvature under transverse loads is analyzed. The large deflection sandwich panel equations proposed by Reissner are solved using a trigonometric series spacewise and by Houbolt scheme for timewise integration.

Dynamic Buckling of Cylindrical Shell
Journal of the Engineering Mechanics Division, 1971The nonlinear, damped dynamic response of a simply supported, nearly circular cylindrical shell due to an exponentially decaying, uniform radial pressure is computed for peak pressures and total impulses between the static and dynamic buckling limits.

Dynamic stability, or better, dynamic buckling (sometimes referred to as a dynamic response) means a loss of stability of the structure subjected to pulse load. Especially, it can act along the axis of the column or in the plane of the plate. It should be mentioned that for the ideal uniformy compressed structures (without any geometrical imperfection)

1990
Introduction The dynamic plastic progressive buckling of thin-walled tubes subjected to axial impact loads was examined in Chapter 9. The impact loads were applied sufficiently slowly so that neither the axial nor the lateral inertia effects of the tubes played a significant role during the response. The duration of the impact loading was much longer

Dynamic Buckling of a Rectangular Orthotropic Plate
AIAA Journal, 1973The elastic buckling of a simply-supported rectangular orthotropic plate, with initial imperfections, under a rapidly applied compressive load is analyzed. The large deflection plate equations are used to study inertial effects in the postbulkling phase.

On the dynamics of propagating buckles in pipelines
International Journal of Solids and Structures, 2000Abstract A combined experimental and analytical study of the dynamic propagation of buckles initiated in long pipes under external pressure is presented. The experiments involve measurement of the steady-state velocity of buckles initiated in stainless steel tubes with D/t=27.9.

Dynamic Buckling of Shallow Arches
Journal of the Engineering Mechanics Division, 1976When a shallow arch is subjected to a symmetric dynamic load, this load becomes “critical” if a slight increase in the load magnitude leads to a sudden snap-through. Another form of instability occurs when a slight antisymmetric component in the load produces a sharply increasing antisymmetric response.

Buckling Dynamics of Tethered Membranes
MRS Proceedings, 1998AbstractWe investigate the dynamics of the classical Euler buckling of compressed solid membranes. We relate the membrane buckling dynamics to phase ordering phenomena. Membrane develops a wavelike pattern whose wavelength grows, via coarsening, as a power of time.

DYNAMIC BUCKLING ANALYSIS OF IMPERFECT ELASTICA
2006Dynamic buckling analysis of a pinned-pinned flexible beam attached to a sliding mass is investigated using nonlinear Elastica Theory. Initially straight flexible buckling beam having pinned end boundary conditions loaded at one of its end with curved imperfection is considered.
