Bond Indebtedness in a Recursive Dynamic CGE Model [PDF]
In this paper, we present a minimalist version of a model of bond financing and debt, imbedded in a stepwise dynamic CGE model. The proposed specification takes into account the main characteristics of bond financing. Bonds compete on the securities market with shares, so that the yield demanded by the buyers of new bond issues increases as the ...

Dynamic multi-sector CGE modeling and the specification of capital
Structural Change and Economic Dynamics, 2004Abstract Dynamic multi-sector computable general equilibrium (CGE) models often utilize investment aggregation according to fixed shares. The question is, do these models come to the same policy conclusions as CGE models that derive sectoral investment shares by optimal household decisions in a framework with heterogeneous capital? Two models—a model

Dynamic calibration of a CGE-model with a demographic application [PDF]
The paper introduces a methodology developed to perform dynamic calibration of Statistics Denmark's dynamic computable generel equilibrium model, DREAM. To illustrate the technique, the paper briefly discusses an example of an application, namely analyzing the economic consequences of the future development of the Danish population. An important aspect

ADAPTATIONS AND MITIGATION POLICIES TO CLIMATE CHANGE: A DYNAMIC CGE-WE MODEL
The Singapore Economic Review, 2020Recently, South Asian countries have committed their mitigation targets to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. This study examines the effectiveness of these efforts by developing a dynamic computable general equilibrium-water-energy (CGE-WE) model.

RunMONASH: Automating A Dynamic, Recursive CGE Model [PDF]
RunMONASH, a software program, written by Ken Pearson, is used to solve the CGE model, MONASH. RunMONASH produces a base case forecast for a set of years in sequence. In response to some additional policy shocks, RunMONASH calculates a policy deviation from this base case, again for the same sequence of years.

A SAM-CGE Demonstration Model for Indonesia: Static and Dynamic Specifications and Experiments
International Economic Journal, 1995In this article it will be demonstrated how a simple static Computable General Equilibrium model of the Indonesian economy can be constructed using the Social Accounting Matrix as a database. It will be shown that under a few assumptions the constant labour force and capital stock in the static model can be elaborated to dynamic specifications. In both

A sectoral study of Lebanon’s economy: A dynamic CGE model
The Journal of Developing Areas, 2016This article assesses the impacts of economic reforms on sectoral variables in Lebanon. The lack of political commitment to long term economic strategies has delayed the implementation of sound policies to tackle chronic problems such as recession, public debt, corruption, trade deficits and to face external shocks suck as military attacks and the ...

Dynamic CGE-Model with Heterogeneous Forest Biomass: Applications to Climate Policy [PDF]
This study introduces a framework for modeling a renewable forest biomass stock interacting with economic sectors in a competitive economy. The equilibrium is formulated as a mixed complementary problem (which explicitly represents weak inequalities and complementary among decision variables and equilibrium conditions).

A Large-Scale Dynamic Multi-Regional CGE Model with an Illustrative Application
Review of Urban & Regional Development Studies, 2003This paper describes FEDERAL‐F, a large‐scale general‐purpose multiregional computable general equilibrium model. The model is dynamic and can be used for forecasting, policy analysis and historical analysis. Large‐scale CGE models are commonly used in Australia and play a central role in policy analysis.
