Optimal scheduling for dynamic channel allocation in wireless LANs

Wireless Networks, 2007
Channel allocation schemes that have been used in cellular wireless networks have limited applicability to wireless LANs (WLANs) because of the small number of available channels and irregular cell geometries in WLAN environments. In this paper, we propose a dynamic, frame-based channel allocation architecture for WLANs.

Dynamic channel allocation in wideband cellular communication networks

1999 IEEE International Conference on Communications (Cat. No. 99CH36311), 2003
Future telecommunication systems will integrate "wireline" and "wireless" networks in a single advanced infrastructure, and it is expected that such systems will exploit asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) technology. This paper considers some aspects of this integrated telecommunication infrastructure. In particular, we propose and analyze an improvement,

Dynamic Channel Allocation in Small Cells

2018 7th International Conference on Reliability, Infocom Technologies and Optimization (Trends and Future Directions) (ICRITO), 2018
The inter-cell interference coordination techniques which include frequency reuse and Dynamic Channel Allocation (DCA) play a vital role in improving the spectrum efficiency. The techniques of frequency reuse are very sophisticated. Depending on the traffic demand, channels allocated to each cell is varied in DCA.

Dynamic channel allocation in TD-SCDMA

International Conference on Communication Technology Proceedings, 2003. ICCT 2003., 2004
This paper proposes a DCA scheme for TD-SCDMA, which support mobile multimedia communications. Movable boundary scheme is presented to improve the resource utilization and the data services performance. The proposed scheme is evaluated by Markov analysis.

A multi‐agent approach for dynamic channel allocation

International Transactions in Operational Research, 2008
AbstractWe propose a multi‐agent approach for dynamic channel allocation (MA‐DCA) in mobile cellular networks. Our approach assumes that each cell in a cellular network works as an agent that negotiates its bandwidth (channel) requirements with its neighbors to minimize its call drop probability.

Dynamic Power and Channel Allocation for Downlink Multi-Channel NOMA Systems

2018 IEEE 29th Annual International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications (PIMRC), 2018
Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) has been investigated as a candidate radio access technology for the fifth generation mobile networks. In this paper, we focus on the dynamic power and channel allocation (DPCA) schemes for downlink multi-channel NOMA (MC-NOMA) systems.

Dynamic channel allocation by using allocation function in PCS

Fifth Asia-Pacific Conference on ... and Fourth Optoelectronics and Communications Conference on Communications,, 1999
A dynamic channel allocation method applicable to the microcell system such as the personal communications service (PCS) is presented. The factors determining the quality of the channels are analyzed. The allocation function that consists of these factors are defined. The channel allocation for a call is processed by using the function value.

Distributed dynamic channel allocation for mobile communication systems

Proceedings 8th International Symposium on Modeling, Analysis and Simulation of Computer and Telecommunication Systems (Cat. No.PR00728), 2002
We present an efficient distributed dynamic channel allocation algorithm for mobile communications systems. The algorithm is based upon the mutual exclusion model, where the channels are grouped by the number of cells in a cluster and each group of channels cannot be shared concurrently within the cluster.

Hotel Room Allocation for Sales Channel by Dynamic Programming

2005 IEEE Conference on Emerging Technologies and Factory Automation, 2006
This paper describes the sales channels decision problem on balancing opportunity loss and supply surplus. Service industries which sell limited, perishable inventories such as flight tickets and hotel rooms through multi sales channels are constantly faced with the problem how to allocate their inventories for getting the optimum total revenues ...

A performance study of a distributed algorithm for dynamic channel allocation

Proceedings of the 3rd ACM international workshop on Modeling, analysis and simulation of wireless and mobile systems, 2000
Recent demand for mobile telephone service have been growing rapidly while the electro-magnetic spectrum of frequencies allocated for this purpose remain limited. Any solution to the channel assignment problem is subject to this limitation, as well as the interference constraints between adjacent channels in the spectrum.
