Characteristics of dynamic JVM languages

Proceedings of the 7th ACM workshop on Virtual machines and intermediate languages, 2013
The Java Virtual Machine (JVM) has become an execution platform targeted by many programming languages. However, unlike with Java, a statically-typed language, the performance of the JVM and its Just-In-Time (JIT) compiler with dynamically-typed languages lags behind purpose-built language-specific JIT compilers.

Dynamic Characteristic Analysis and Experiment for Integral Impeller Based on Cyclic Symmetry Analysis Method

open access: yesChinese Journal of Aeronautics, 2012
A cyclic symmetry analysis method is proposed for analyzing the dynamic characteristic problems of thin walled integral impeller. Reliability and feasibility of the present method are investigated by means of simulation and experiment.

Experimental research on damage identification of topping dangerous rock structural surface based on dynamic characteristic parameters [PDF]

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science, 2022
Rock block tilting is one of the most common types of dangerous rock block failures with no clear indicator of displacement prior to failure. Existing stability evaluation methods remain limited in their ability to constrain the non-penetrating section ...

Dynamic characteristics of composite laminates

Journal of Sound and Vibration, 1972
An exact solution for the vibration of elastic composite laminates in cylindrical bending is presented. Dispersion curves for multi-layer symmetrical and unsymmetrical laminates with materials possessing high and low degrees of anisotropy at various fiber orientations are compared with those obtained from an approximate shear deformation theory.

Dynamic Characteristics of Transient Responses

The Journal of Biochemistry, 2005
Transient responses of signaling molecules are seen in a wide variety of cellular processes that are mediated by distinct molecular mechanisms. Although transient responses might intuitively be thought to depend on the absolute concentration of growth factors or the intensity of stimulation, we here introduce that some transient responses are prompted ...

The Dynamic Characteristics of the Circumvaginal Muscles

Journal of Obstetric, Gynecologic & Neonatal Nursing, 1988
Circumvaginal muscle (CVM) maximum pressure was studied as related to the postpartal period, parity, type of birth, episiotomy, age, breastfeeding, physical activity, body mass, stress urinary incontinence, and orgasm in a sample of 98 healthy postpartal and nonpostpartal women.

Dynamic characteristics of gastrin release

The American Journal of Surgery, 1972
Abstract Much of the current knowledge regarding the characteristics of mechanisms responsible for the release of endogenous gastrin has come from studies in dogs with isolated gastric pouches. By direct measurement of gastrin rising solely from the antum, our study delineates many phenomena that have been previously accepted on indirect evidence ...

On the Dynamic Characteristics of a Redesigned Robot

Robotica, 1991
SUMMARYA robotic manipulator is usually a very complicated system whose dynamics is too complicated time consuming for real-time control. The authors propose general criteria for designing an ideal robot whose dynamics is very much simpler than that of the conventional one.

Dynamic Characteristics of Loops

IEEE Transactions on Computers, 1984
Loops are directly defined on an instruction execution string rather than on a directed graph model of a program derived from the source code. A simple efficient algorithm to find the loops and subloops thus defined is presented.

Dynamic characteristics of a digital transducer

Proceedings of IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems - ISCAS '94, 2002
Sigma delta (/spl Sigma/-/spl Delta/) modulation is a technique that is widely used in a variety of signal processing and conditioning applications. This discrete data, closed loop, nonlinear device employs oversampling techniques to achieve a suitable signal to noise ratio.
