Dynamic characteristics of composite laminates

Journal of Sound and Vibration, 1972
An exact solution for the vibration of elastic composite laminates in cylindrical bending is presented. Dispersion curves for multi-layer symmetrical and unsymmetrical laminates with materials possessing high and low degrees of anisotropy at various fiber orientations are compared with those obtained from an approximate shear deformation theory.

Uvula Dynamic Characteristics

Volume 1A: Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms; Active and Reactive Soft Matter; Atherosclerosis; BioFluid Mechanics; Education; Biotransport Phenomena; Bone, Joint and Spine Mechanics; Brain Injury; Cardiac Mechanics; Cardiovascular Devices, Fluids and Imaging; Cartilage and Disc Mechanics; Cell and Tissue Engineering; Cerebral Aneurysms; Computational Biofluid Dynamics; Device Design, Human Dynamics, and Rehabilitation; Drug Delivery and Disease Treatment; Engineered Cellular Environments, 2013
The airway binary fluid layer and the structural characteristics of the upper airways have significant influence on the activity of the airway muscles by changing airway compliance and collapsibility during obstructive sleep apnea trauma. The uvula plays an important role in the collapse process.

Dynamic Characteristics of Transient Responses

The Journal of Biochemistry, 2005
Transient responses of signaling molecules are seen in a wide variety of cellular processes that are mediated by distinct molecular mechanisms. Although transient responses might intuitively be thought to depend on the absolute concentration of growth factors or the intensity of stimulation, we here introduce that some transient responses are prompted ...

Dynamic characteristics of gastrin release

The American Journal of Surgery, 1972
Abstract Much of the current knowledge regarding the characteristics of mechanisms responsible for the release of endogenous gastrin has come from studies in dogs with isolated gastric pouches. By direct measurement of gastrin rising solely from the antum, our study delineates many phenomena that have been previously accepted on indirect evidence ...
