Quantifying Heterogeneity in Dynamic Contrast-Enhanced MRI Parameter Maps [PDF]
Simple summary statistics of Dynamic Contrast-Enhanced MRI (DCE-MRI) parameter maps (e.g. the median) neglect the spatial arrangement of parameters, which appears to carry important diagnostic and prognostic information. This paper describes novel statistics that are sensitive to both parameter values and their spatial arrangement.

Contrast-enhanced CT- and MRI-based perfusion assessment for pulmonary diseases: basics and clinical applications [PDF]
Assessment of regional pulmonary perfusion as well as nodule and tumor perfusions in various pulmonary diseases are currently performed by means of nuclear medicine studies requiring radioactive macroaggregates, dual-energy computed tomography (CT), and ...

Dynamic contrast-enhanced imaging techniques: CT and MRI [PDF]
Over the last few decades there has been considerable research into quantifying the cerebral microvasculature with imaging, for use in studies of the human brain and various pathologies including cerebral tumours. This review highlights key issues in dynamic contrast-enhanced CT, dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI and arterial spin labelling, the various ...

A new denoising method for dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI
This paper presents a new algorithm for denoising dynamic contrast-enhanced (DCE) MR images. The algorithm is called Dynamic Non-Local Means and is a novel variation on the Non-Local Means (NL-Means) algorithm. It exploits the redundancy of information in the DCE-MRI sequence of images.

Comparison of dynamic contrast‐enhanced MRI and dynamic contrast‐enhanced CT biomarkers in bladder cancer [PDF]
AbstractDynamic contrast‐enhanced MRI (DCE‐MRI) is frequently used to provide response biomarkers in clinical trials of novel cancer therapeutics but assessment of their physiological accuracy is difficult. DCE‐CT provides an independent probe of similar pharmacokinetic processes and may be modeled in the same way as DCE‐MRI to provide purportedly ...

Diagnostic value of dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI for unilocular cystic-type ameloblastomas with homogeneously bright high signal intensity on T2-weighted or STIR MR images [PDF]
Typical MR images of ameloblastomas on T2-weighted image (WI) or short inversion time inversion-recovery (STIR) show multiple bright high-signal-intensity loci on a high-signal-intensity background.
