Mechanistic Study of Lithium Electrodeposition Using Dynamic Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy
ECS Meeting Abstracts, 2023Lithium metal batteries have increased energy density over standard graphite-based Li-ion anodes. However, Li metal anodes have difficulty forming stable passivation layer (called solid electrolyte interphase, SEI) leading to poor use of Li inventory. That is, LI metals require larger cathode loading, which reduces the energy density gain.

Dynamic electrochemical impedance spectroscopy of the first order electrode reaction
Journal of Electroanalytical Chemistry, 2003Abstract Continuous short time Fourier transformation transforms of the sinusoidal perturbation signal and current have been found for the first order electrode reaction. The electrode impedance has been determined in the joint time–frequency domain.

Evaluation of Interface Performance by Means of Dynamic Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014Interface performance investigations of turbine rotor alloy (30Cr2MoV) in 0.01M Na2MoO4have been performed by means of Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) under step potential change conditions. A general equivalent circuit was employed to analysis the polarization behavior of that turbine rotor.

The short lifetime of these sensors has become a key functional safety issue for hazardous gas detection modules.

Using Dynamic Signal Analyzers for Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy
ECS Transactions, 2006This publication summarizes the advantages of using a dynamic signal analyzer (DSA) for electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The built-in fast Fourier transform (FFT) technique can provide a significant improvement in speed of data acquisition at the cost of dynamic range.
