Investigation on Electromagnetic Scattering from Dynamic Sea Surfaces Covered by Natural Sea Slicks

2020 IEEE MTT-S International Conference on Numerical Electromagnetic and Multiphysics Modeling and Optimization (NEMO), 2020
A model of dynamic nonlinear sea surfaces damped by natural sea slicks is presented. Lombardini et al. model is adopted for predicting the hydrodynamic damping of sea surfaces in the presence of natural sea slicks, and "choppy wave model" (CWM) nonlinear sea surface is utilized for describing the nonlinear interactions between ocean waves.

Ultra‐Wideband Intelligent Reflectarray for Dynamic Mimicking the Electromagnetic Scattering Signals

Advanced Functional Materials
Abstract The intelligent control of electromagnetic waves by 2D active period structures has become very common in recent years. However, the methods for ultra‐wideband designs are lacking to achieve much more adaptive and flexible manipulation in the frequency domain. Here we propose a new method to realize the independent control of

Electromagnetic inverse Scattering for dynamic fluid level detection

2018 International Conference on Applied Electromagnetics, Signal Processing and Communication (AESPC), 2018
A dynamic inverse scattering method for a time-varying liquid level indication is proposed. The Finite Difference Time Domain method (FDTD) is used to simulation a forward scattering model to generate scattering field measurement data. For inversion multi scattering depth imaging technique is utilized, which is a non-destructive linear time domain ...

Dynamic echo simulation of precession target based on electromagnetic scattering model

2012 International Workshop on Metamaterials (Meta), 2012
Dynamic echo is the basis to analyze and discriminate the features of precession targets, but it is difficult to acquire the outfield data with small cost. In this paper, precession model of a general target is built, and the attitude formulas of elevation and azimuth are derived respectively. On the basis of the static electromagnetic scattering data,

Electromagnetic Wave Dynamics in Matter-Wave Superradiant Scattering

Physical Review Letters, 2010
We present a small-signal wave propagation theory on matter-wave superradiant scattering. We show, in a longitudinally excited condensate, that the backward-propagating, superradiantly generated optical field propagates with ultraslow group velocity and that the small-signal gain profile has a Bragg resonance.

Self-Consistent Model of Electromagnetic Dynamical Scattering

physica status solidi (a), 1986
A self-consistent model of electromagnetic dynamical scattering due to Ewald, is reconsidered. While this treatment preserves all the main characteristics of the original model, a different inter-pretation of waves summation leads to new conclusions. Self-consistent solutions compatible with external incident field can be found for corresponding modes ...

Analysis of Ship Rotation Effects on the Electromagnetic Scattering of Wake

IEEE International Workshop on Electromagnetics: Applications and Student Innovation Competition, 2023
To assess the impact of ship rotational motion on radar cross-sectional (RCS), dynamic electromagnetic (EM) scattering simulations were conducted for the wake generated by a ship undergoing roll, pitch, and yaw motions.

Simulation for the Electromagnetic Scattering and SAR Image of Multi-Source Ocean Waves

2023 Cross Strait Radio Science and Wireless Technology Conference (CSRSWTC), 2023
This paper primarily focuses on the electromagnetic scattering and SAR imaging of multi-source waves, highlighting their distinctions from purely random wind waves. The simulation of the SAR images of the internal waves are given as instance.
