Two tractable models of dynamic light scattering and their application to Fano resonances

open access: yesNanophotonics, 2021
We introduce two tractable analytical models to describe dynamic effects at resonant light scattering by subwavelength particles. One of them is based on a generalization of the temporal coupled-mode theory, and the other employs the normal mode approach.

Simulation of a Wideband Radar Echo of a Target on a Dynamic Sea Surface

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2021
Unlike a generally rough ground surface, the sea surface varies over time. To analyze the impact of the motion of sea waves on the synthetic aperture radar (SAR) image of a target, the wideband echo simulation method based on a frequency domain is used ...

Extinction theorem for a temporal gas-plasma boundary

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2022
Temporal discontinuity in a medium’s dielectric properties (temporal boundary) is a useful model for considering electromagnetic phenomena in dynamic materials and metamaterials.

Utilizing Dynamic Scattering for Learning Radar Cross-Section of a Flapping-Wing Aircraft

open access: yesPhotonics, 2022
To study the radar cross-section (RCS) of a flapping-wing aircraft, a method of flapping-wing dynamic scattering is presented. The aircraft has two rigid wings and a fuselage similar to a bird’s body, where the plane shape of the wing is U-type.

Dynamic Scattering Approach for Solving the Radar Cross-Section of the Warship under Complex Motion Conditions

open access: yesPhotonics, 2020
To obtain the electromagnetic scattering characteristics of the warship under complex motion conditions, a dynamic scattering approach (DSA) based on physical optics and physical theory of diffraction is presented. The observation angles, turret rotation,

Propagation and filtering of elastic and electromagnetic waves in piezoelectric composite structures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
In this article we discuss the modelling of elastic and electromagnetic wave propagation through one- and two-dimensional structured piezoelectric solids. Dispersion and the effect of piezoelectricity on the group velocity and positions of stop bands are
