Connection Formulae between Ellipsoidal and Spherical Harmonics with Applications to Fluid Dynamics and Electromagnetic Scattering [PDF]

open access: yesAdvances in Mathematical Physics, 2015
The environment of the ellipsoidal system, significantly more complex than the spherical one, provides the necessary settings for tackling boundary value problems in anisotropic space. However, the theory of Lamé functions and ellipsoidal harmonics affiliated with the ellipsoidal system is rather complicated.

P11 Resonances with Dubna-Mainz-Taipei dynamical model for πN scattering and pion electromagnetic production [PDF]

open access: yesAIP Conference Proceedings, 2012
We present the results on P11 resonances obtained with Dubna-Mainz-Taipei (DMT) dynamical model for pion-nucleon scattering and pion electromagnetic production. The extracted values agree well, in general, with PDG values. One pole is found corresponding to the Roper resonance and two more resonances are definitely needed in DMT model.

Evaluation on EM Scattering Properties From a Wind Farm by an Efficient High-Frequency Method

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
In order to study the dynamic signature from a wind farm composed of massive wind turbines, a high-frequency model of electromagnetic scattering is developed by combining a shooting and bouncing ray and the array synthesis technique.

Multiple Scattering Formulation of Two Dimensional Acoustic and Electromagnetic Metamaterials [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
This work presents a multiple scattering formulation of two dimensional acoustic metamaterials. It is shown that in the low frequency limit multiple scattering allows us to define frequency-dependent effective acoustic parameters for arrays of both ...

Inverse scattering problem in turbulent magnetic fluctuations [PDF]

open access: yesAnnales Geophysicae, 2016
We apply a particular form of the inverse scattering theory to turbulent magnetic fluctuations in a plasma. In the present note we develop the theory, formulate the magnetic fluctuation problem in terms of its electrodynamic turbulent response ...

Opal: An open source ray-tracing propagation simulator for electromagnetic characterization.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2021
Accurate characterization and simulation of electromagnetic propagation can be obtained by ray-tracing methods, which are based on a high frequency approximation to the Maxwell equations and describe the propagating field as a set of propagating rays ...
