Fusion Framework of Remote Sensing and Electromagnetic Scattering Features of Drones for Monitoring Freighters

open access: yesDrones
Certain types of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) represent convenient platforms for remote sensing observation as well as low-altitude targets that are themselves monitored by other devices.

Extremely asymmetrical scattering of electromagnetic waves in gradually varying periodic arrays [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
This paper analyses theoretically and numerically the effect of varying grating amplitude on the extremely asymmetrical scattering (EAS) of bulk and guided optical modes in non-uniform strip-like periodic Bragg arrays with stepwise and gradual variations

NanoMOF‐Based Multilevel Anti‐Counterfeiting by a Combination of Visible and Invisible Photoluminescence and Conductivity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.

Link between the photonic and electronic topological phases in artificial graphene

open access: yes, 2017
In recent years the study of topological phases of matter has emerged as a very exciting field of research, both in photonics and in electronics. However, up to now the electronic and photonic properties have been regarded as totally independent.

Ash plume properties retrieved from infrared images: a forward and inverse modeling approach

open access: yes, 2014
We present a coupled fluid-dynamic and electromagnetic model for volcanic ash plumes. In a forward approach, the model is able to simulate the plume dynamics from prescribed input flow conditions and generate the corresponding synthetic thermal infrared (

Combined Studies of  N and NN Scattering and Electromagnetic Form Factor of Nucleon Based on the    Dynamics [PDF]

open access: yesProgress of Theoretical Physics, 1980
Systematic studies of the pion-nucleon and the nucleon-nucleon scatterings and the iso vector part of the nucleon electromagnetic form factor on the basis of pion-pion dynamics are performed by using the twice-subtracted dispersion relation. Starting from the pion-pion amplitude, the l=L=1 and l=L=O helicity amplitudes of the (mH->NN) process can be ...

Bimetallic Nanoparticles as Cocatalysts for Photocatalytic Hydrogen Production

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Recent developments have introduced bimetallic nanoparticles as effective cocatalysts for photocatalytic systems. This review explores the rapidly expanding research on bimetallic cocatalysts for photocatalytic production of hydrogen, emphasizing the creation of carrier‐selective contacts, localized surface plasmon resonance effects, methodologies for ...

Plasmonic nanoparticle monomers and dimers: From nano-antennas to chiral metamaterials

open access: yes, 2011
We review the basic physics behind light interaction with plasmonic nanoparticles. The theoretical foundations of light scattering on one metallic particle (a plasmonic monomer) and two interacting particles (a plasmonic dimer) are systematically ...
