Extra Climate Benefits From Afforestation Due to Reduced Forest Fragmentation in China

Afforestation in China reduced forest fragmentation in 2015, transforming 51.8 M ha of edge forests into interior forests. Intramolecular Interactions between Folded and Disordered Regions Shape Ubiquilin Structure and Function

Ubiquilin (UBQLN), like many other human proteins, contains both well‐folded and disordered regions. Here, we show that intramolecular interactions between disordered regions and folded domains modulate between open and closed topologies of UBQLN proteins, altering their structure and function.

Resistant Peanut Genotype Reprograms Rhizosphere Metabolism to Enhance Bacterial Wilt Suppression

The resistant peanut genotype selectively recruits beneficial bacteria, which coincides with the activation of salicylic acid (SA)‐dependent systemic acquired resistance (SAR) against Ralstonia solanacearum. Keystone rhizosphere metabolites are positively correlated with both beneficial microbiome assembly and SAR gene expression.
