Percutaneous dynamic hip screw
Injury, 2006We present the results of a technique of dynamic hip screw insertion through a very small incision, typically 2-2.5 cm. The technique is performed using a standard dynamic hip screw set and requires no additional equipment. We compared the results to those of an age and sex-matched group who had undergone the operation through a traditional approach ...

Origami in dynamic hip screw surgery
Injury, 2004The insertion of a dynamic hip screw requires assessment of the native angle of the femoral neck. The two commonly used angles of DHS insertion are 135 and 150 degrees. We present a simple way of judging whether a 135 or 150 degrees angle plate is more suitable in the preoperative plan by using one or two sheets of A4 or letter paper, respectively.
