Accelerating Finite Element Analysis of Dynamic Impact Response of TiN/Ti Multilayer Coatings Based on Small Sample Machine Learning

open access: yesGaoya wuli xuebao
Engine high-pressure turbine blades operating in extreme environments, such as deserts, are subjected to long-term high-velocity impacts from sand particles carried by hot combustion gases, significantly reducing their service life.

On the impact of disorder on dynamic network navigation [PDF]

open access: yes2013 Proceedings IEEE INFOCOM, 2013
Dynamic networks like Online Social Networks or Disruption Tolerant Networks (DTNs), when considering their spatial, temporal and size complexity, even if partly wired, are exposed to nodes and links churns and failures which can be modeled with dynamic graphs with time varying edges and vertices.

Mechanical responses and energy characteristics of the Jinping marble under the dynamic impact

open access: yesShuiwen dizhi gongcheng dizhi, 2022
To study the dynamic responses and energy characteristics of the marble from the Jinping hydropower station, the dynamic compression tests on the rock samples are carried out using the split-Hopkinson pressure bar, and the fractal dimension of the ...

IMPACT DYNAMICS OF LARGE DIMENSIONAL SYSTEMS [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 2007
In this paper we present a model of impact dynamics in large dimensional systems. We describe a hybrid method, based on graph theory and probability theory, which enables us qualitatively to model the statistics of global dynamics as parameters are varied.

Mechanism and application of carbon dioxide phase change blasting fracturing

open access: yesMeitan kexue jishu
The structural transformation of coal and rock mass is a common core scientific problem to solve many technical problems in coal mines. Carbon dioxide phase change blasting has become one of the effective methods for coal and rock mass cracking due to ...

Impact of Cavity Geometry on Microlaser Dynamics

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2023
We experimentally investigate spatio-temporal lasing dynamics in semiconductor microcavities with various geometries, featuring integrable or chaotic ray dynamics. The classical ray dynamics directly impacts the lasing dynamics, which is primarily determined by the local directionality of long-lived ray trajectories.

Ironic Medications: A Narrative‐Based Psycho‐Educational Intervention to Explore Patient–Provider Communication in Adolescents With Haematological Cancer

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Adolescents with haematological malignancies face significant emotional and relational challenges, often accompanied by difficulties in communicating their needs within the healthcare context. To address these issues, a narrative‐based psycho‐educational intervention based on the creation and prescription of Ironic Medications was ...

Dynamic energy absorption of Cu–W interpenetrating phase composites

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology
The paper presents a study on static compression and dynamic impact properties of Cu–W interpenetrating phase composites (IPCs) with cubic and bio-inspired W skeletons. Strength, failure mechanism, and energy absorption of Cu–W IPCs are investigated. The

Knottin cyclization: impact on structure and dynamics [PDF]

open access: yesBMC Structural Biology, 2008
Abstract Background Present in various species, the knottins (also referred to as inhibitor cystine knots) constitute a group of extremely stable miniproteins with a plethora of biological activities. Owing to their small size and their high stability, knottins are considered as excellent leads or scaffolds in drug ...
