Mechanical-Dynamic Loads

2022
Wind turbine technology has been growing rapidly in the past decade. The innovative concepts, larger onshore and offshore turbines as well as floating turbines require dynamic analysis considering comprehensive load modeling. Loads in the operational and survival conditions including fault cases, controller actions and response-induced forces govern ...

Dynamic Blast Loads

1985
The blast wave generated in an explosion imposes a dynamic load on any object in its field. This dynamic load is characterized by a rapidly reached peak value which then decreases as the blast wave decays. The net effect of the load depends both on the nature of the blast wave and on the geometry and construction of the object (Reference 1).

Dynamic Load Positioning

2014
In Chap. 3, positioning control in the horizontal plane is investigated for the installation of subsea systems, with thrusters attached, under time-varying irrotational ocean current, when the payload is near to the seabed. Backstepping, in combination with adaptive feedback approximation techniques, is employed in the design of the control, with the ...

Dynamic Loading Methodologies

AIAA Journal, 2003
This paper describes progress on a proposed hybrid analytical/experimental technique for dynamic live-fire ground testing which may remedy the shortcomings of current static ground testing methodologies. In this technique an explicit, time-integrated, non-linear structural finite element code is coupled with a linear aerodynamic code and used to ...

Novel dynamic forecasting model for building cooling loads combining an artificial neural network and an ensemble approach

Applied Energy, 2018
Short-term load prediction, which forecasts a building’s thermal load with a lead time ranging from seconds to a few days, is essential for not only monitoring and controlling the system operation, but also on-line scheduling.

Dynamic loads identification in presence of unknown but bounded measurement errors

, 2015
In this paper, a time-domain inverse method that combines the set membership identification theory with interval analysis is proposed to stably identify structural dynamic loads, in which circumstances the unknown-but-bounded (UBB) uncertainty in ...

Dynamically Loaded Anchorages

2014
The present work regards the study of soil-structure interaction, in particular during pull-out tests on anchorages. Due to the complexity of the system, numerical analyses carried out by a commercial code, based on the Finite Difference Method (FDM), were performed.
