Logic-Dynamic Approach to Fault Diagnosis in Mechatronic Systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems, 2006
This paper presents a problem of fault detection and isolation (FDI) in mechatronic systems described by nonlinear dynamic models with such types of no differentiable nonlinearities as saturation, Coulomb friction, backlash, and hysteresis. To solve this

Language Idling and Language in Use Wittgenstein on Following Rules [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
This paper has a simple goal: it aims to present the difference between static logic and dynamic grammar. At the same time I will stress another difference which traverses logic and grammar: the difference between language idling and language in use ...

Logics of Temporal-Epistemic Actions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We present Dynamic Epistemic Temporal Logic, a framework for reasoning about operations on multi-agent Kripke models that contain a designated temporal relation.

An upstream open reading frame regulates expression of the mitochondrial protein Slm35 and mitophagy flux

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Kant’s Dynamic Hylomorphism in Logic

open access: yesCon-textos Kantianos: International Journal of Philosophy, 2016
The aim of this paper is to provide a dynamic interpretation of Kant’s logical hylomorphism. Firstly, various types of the logical hylomorphism will be illustrated. Secondly, I propose to reevaluate Kant’s constitutivity thesis about logic.

Speed Control For Separately Excited DC Motor Drive (SEDM) Based on Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Logic Controller [PDF]

open access: yesEngineering and Technology Journal, 2013
This paper presents an application of Fuzzy Logic Control (FLC) in the separately excited Direct Current (DC) motor drive (SEDM) system; the controller designed according to Fuzzy Logic rules. Such that the system is fundamentally robust.

Model Checking Dynamic-Epistemic Spatial Logic [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
In this paper we focus on Dynamic Spatial Logic, the extension of Hennessy-Milner logic with the parallel operator. We develop a sound complete Hilbert-style axiomatic system for it comprehending the behavior of spatial operators in relation with dynamic/

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Dynamic Temporal Logic of Subjective Homophily

open access: yesLogics
Homophily, which means similarity breeds association, is one of the most fundamental principles in social organization. However, in some cases, homophily is not significant, because actors’ perceptions of others differ from the real situation.
