Engineering an anti-HER2 biparatopic antibody with a multimodal mechanism of action
HER2 acts an oncogenic driver in numerous cancers. Here, the authors design an anti-HER2 biparatopic and tetravalent IgG fusion with inhibitory effects in a xenograft model.

Modeling Earnings Dynamics [PDF]
In this paper we use indirect inference to estimate a joint model of earnings, employment, job changes, wage rates, and work hours over a career. Our model incorporates duration dependence in several variables, multiple sources of unobserved heterogeneity, job-specific error components in both wages and hours, and measurement error. We use the model to

Dynamical affinity in opinion dynamics modeling [PDF]
We here propose a model to simulate the process of opinion formation, which accounts for the mutual affinity between interacting agents. Opinion and affinity evolve self-consistently, manifesting a highly non trivial interplay. A continuous transition is found between single and multiple opinion states.

Invasive meningococcal disease (IMD) is an uncommon yet unpredictable, severe, and life-threatening disease with the highest burden in young children. In Chile, most IMD is caused by meningococcal serogroup B (MenB) and W (MenW) infection. In response to

Dynamical reduction models [PDF]
The report presents an exhaustive review of the recent attempt to overcome the difficulties that standard quantum mechanics meets in accounting for the measurement (or macro-objectification) problem, an attempt based on the consideration of nonlinear and stochastic modifications of the Schroedinger equation.

Influence of vehicle acceleration intensity on dual-mass flywheel elements and transmission load
Modern high-torque low-speed internal combustion engines (ICEs) generate torsional vibrations close in disturbance frequency to gearboxes natural oscillation frequencies. Effective absorption of such oscillations requires a new torsional vibration damper

Optimization of Offshore Wind Power Generation in Response to the 2022 Extreme Drought in Portugal
Portugal, in line with the European Union, is aiming for carbon neutrality by 2050 (Net Zero), which implies a transition to sustainable energy sources. Climate change is all too evident, as extreme weather periods are occurring in a cyclical manner with
