Dynamic Navigation in Dental Implantology. [PDF]
Implant placement for dental rehabilitation has gained more popularity among patients in the recent past. Dental Implants are the workhorse of dentistry. Previously, the implants were placed with the help of the traditional freehand approach. Even though the conventional technique was successful, it has his own shortcomings.

Dynamic navigation in endodontics [PDF]
Dynamic navigation (DN) is a promising technology designed to guide the placement of drills/implants in real time, based on information generated from the patient’s computed tomography (CT). In endodontics, dynamic navigation is used for localization of calcified canals as well root-end resection surgeries.

An Interpolated Dynamic Navigation Function [PDF]
The Ez.ast; algorithm is a path planning method capable of dynamic replanning and user-configurable path cost interpolation. It calculates a navigation function as a sampling of an underlying smooth goal distance that takes into account a continuous notion of risk that can be controlled in a fine-grained manner.

Dynamic Wildfire Navigation System [PDF]
Wildfire, a natural part of many ecosystems, has also resulted in significant disasters impacting ecology and human life in Australia. This study proposes a prototype of fire propagation prediction as an extension of preceding research; this system is called “Cloud computing based bushfire prediction”, the computational performance of which is expected

Ground then Navigate: Language-guided Navigation in Dynamic Scenes
We investigate the Vision-and-Language Navigation (VLN) problem in the context of autonomous driving in outdoor settings. We solve the problem by explicitly grounding the navigable regions corresponding to the textual command. At each timestamp, the model predicts a segmentation mask corresponding to the intermediate or the final navigable region.

On the impact of disorder on dynamic network navigation [PDF]
Dynamic networks like Online Social Networks or Disruption Tolerant Networks (DTNs), when considering their spatial, temporal and size complexity, even if partly wired, are exposed to nodes and links churns and failures which can be modeled with dynamic graphs with time varying edges and vertices.

Robot Navigation in Dense Crowds: Statistical Models and Experimental Studies of Human Robot Cooperation [PDF]
This thesis explores the problem of mobile robot navigation in dense human crowds. We begin by considering a fundamental impediment to classical motion planning algorithms called the freezing robot problem: once the environment surpasses a certain level

An anthropomorphic navigation scheme for dynamic scenarios [PDF]
This paper is concerned with the navigation of personal robots in human-populated environments. The behavior of a person among its peers is governed by a number of unspoken social rules, e.g. maintaining an appropriate distance. The primary contribution of this paper is a navigation scheme that is anthropomorphic, i.e. that emulates human behaviors and

The Potential of LEO Satellite-Based Opportunistic Navigation for High Dynamic Applications
Resilient navigation in Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS)-degraded and -denied environments is becoming more and more required for many applications. It can typically be based on multi-sensor data fusion that relies on alternative technologies to

Gradient navigation model for pedestrian dynamics [PDF]
We present a new microscopic ODE-based model for pedestrian dynamics: the Gradient Navigation Model. The model uses a superposition of gradients of distance functions to directly change the direction of the velocity vector. The velocity is then integrated to obtain the location.
