Fostering Innovation: Streamlining Magnetocaloric Materials Research by Digitalization
Magnetocaloric cooling (MCE) is an environmentally friendly refrigeration method with great potential. Optimizing MCE materials involves the preparation and screening of large quantities of samples, which in turn generates a large amount of data. A digitalization approach is presented that uses ontologies, knowledge graphs, and digital workflows to ...

Multimodal Data‐Driven Microstructure Characterization
A self‐consistent autonomous workflow for EBSP‐based microstructure segmentation by integrating PCA, GMM clustering, and cNMF with information‐theoretic parameter selection, requiring no user input. An optimal ROI size related to characteristic grain size is identified.

We develop a data‐driven method to derive the mathematical expressions of the Flory–Huggins interaction parameter χ for the swelling behavior of temperature–responsive hydrogels. Starting from initial assumptions of χ, our workflow combines Bayesian optimization, Flory–Rehner theory, and symbolic regression to generate candidate χ expressions.

Creep‐Induced Microstructural Evolution in an A2‐B2 Superalloy
A 27.3Ta‐27.3Mo‐27.3Ti‐8Cr‐10Al (at.%) refractory high‐entropy alloy with precipitation‐strengthened A2‐B2 microstructure was studied by creep tests at 1030°C, which demonstrate a transition in deformation mechanisms in the range of 100–150 MPa applied stress. This is associated with changes in dislocation–precipitate interactions. Relevant deformation

Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.

Regions of Reduced Dynamics in Dynamic Networks
International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 2021We consider complex networks where the dynamics of each interacting agent is given by a nonlinear vector field and the connections between the agents are defined according to the topology of undirected simple graphs. The aim of the work is to explore whether the asymptotic dynamic behavior of the entire network can be fully determined from the ...

DYNAMICS OF NETWORKS AND OPINIONS
International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 2007Social relations between people seldom follow regular lattice structures. In the Barabási–Albert model nodes link to the existing network structure with a probability proportional to the number of nodes previously attached. Here, we present an anthropologically motivated interpolation between Erdös–Rényi and Barabási–Albert rules, where people also ...

On the dynamics of semilattice networks
Journal of Symbolic Computation, 2022Let \(X=\{x_1,\ldots ,x_n\}\) be a finite set of \(n\) elements. A finite dynamical system is a map of the form \(f=(f_1,\ldots ,f_n):X^n\rightarrow X^n\). Finite dynamical systems are a computational tool to model networks of interacting entities. These discrete models are used to solve many problems in different areas of sciences and engineering. Two
