Dynamic noise maps for Ljubljana airport

open access: yesProceedings of 10th SESAR Innovation Days, 2020
The main purpose of this research is to assess the impact of aircraft noise around an airport considering spatial and temporal variations in the population. The concept of dynamic airport noise mapping has been demonstrated on Ljubljana airport case study. Detailed population mobility information for Slovenia were retrieved from a survey.

Ensembling Multiple Radio Maps with Dynamic Noise in Fingerprint-based Indoor Positioning [PDF]

open access: yes2021 IEEE 93rd Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC2021-Spring), 2021
Ponencia presentada en 2021 IEEE 93rd Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC2021-Spring), 25-28 April 2021 Fingerprint-based indoor positioning is widely used in many contexts, including pedestrian and autonomous vehicles navigation. Many approaches have used traditional Machine Learning models to deal with fingerprinting, being k-NN the

A study of strong nucleosomes in the human genome

open access: yesiScience, 2022
Summary: Micrococcal nuclease (MNase) is widely used to map nucleosomes. However, nucleosomes are highly dynamic and susceptible to experimental conditions, resulting in extreme variability across nucleosome maps, which complicates the generation of ...

RGB-D Saliency Detection via Depth Quality Perception and Hierarchical Feature Guidance [PDF]

open access: yesJisuanji gongcheng, 2023
Existing fusion-based RGB-D saliency object detection methods ignore the differences between RGB and depth map features when fusing cross-modal features. The problems from fusing unbalanced cross-modal features makes the model insufficiently leverage ...

The Radio Sky at Meter Wavelengths: m-Mode Analysis Imaging with the Owens Valley Long Wavelength Array [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
A host of new low-frequency radio telescopes seek to measure the 21-cm transition of neutral hydrogen from the early universe. These telescopes have the potential to directly probe star and galaxy formation at redshifts $20 \gtrsim z \gtrsim 7$, but are ...

Moving Object Detection Fused with SORM Background Model and DTCNN Threshold Model [PDF]

open access: yesJisuanji gongcheng, 2016
For reducing the impact on the performance of moving object detection by dynamic background,a moving object detection method is proposed. This method is fused with Self-organizing Retinotopic Maps(SORM) background model and Discrete Time Cellular Neural ...

Spaghetti Tracer: A Framework for Tracing Semiregular Filamentous Densities in 3D Tomograms

open access: yesBiomolecules, 2022
Within cells, cytoskeletal filaments are often arranged into loosely aligned bundles. These fibrous bundles are dense enough to exhibit a certain regularity and mean direction, however, their packing is not sufficient to impose a symmetry between—or ...

A Multi-Stage Method for Connecting Participatory Sensing and Noise Simulations

open access: yesSensors, 2015
Most simulation-based noise maps are important for official noise assessment but lack local noise characteristics. The main reasons for this lack of information are that official noise simulations only provide information about expected noise levels ...
