Meta‐analysis fails to show any correlation between protein abundance and ubiquitination changes

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We analyzed over 50 published proteomics datasets to explore the relationship between protein levels and ubiquitination changes across multiple experimental conditions and biological systems. Although ubiquitination is often associated with protein degradation, our analysis shows that changes in ubiquitination do not globally correlate with changes in ...

Non-Classical Response from Quench-Cooled Solid Helium Confined in Porous Gold

open access: yes, 2009
We have investigated the non-classical response of solid 4He confined in porous gold set to torsional oscillation. When solid helium is grown rapidly, nearly 7% of the solid helium appears to be decoupled from the oscillation below about 200 mK ...

Longitudinal Properties of Two-Dimensional Classical Electron Liquids [PDF]

open access: yes, 1979
The dynamic form factor and the dispersion relation of the plasma oscillation of two-dimensional classical systems of electrons with ordinary Coulomb interaction are obtained by numerical experiments in the domain of the plasma parameter 2.24≤√=(πn)(1/2 ...

Dynamic Oscillations of Coupled Domain Walls [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2012
In domain wall (DW) excitation experiments, nonlinearity (NL) intrinsic to the DW dynamics is often hard to distinguish from perturbation due to the confining potential or DW distortion. Here we numerically investigate the dynamic oscillations of magnetostatically coupled DWs: a system well understood in the quasistatic limit.

Blood‐based proteomic profiling reveals context‐dependent changes in BCL2‐associated signaling during taxane therapy in breast cancer patients

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Chemotherapy side effects significantly impact cancer survivors' quality of life. Using protein levels in blood samples from breast cancer patients before and after 12 weeks of taxane treatment, we detected treatment‐dependent changes in calcium signaling and aging pathways associated with cancer recurrence.

Oscillation Criteria for Nonlinear Third-Order Delay Dynamic Equations on Time Scales Involving a Super-Linear Neutral Term

open access: yesFractal and Fractional
In the sense of an arbitrary time scale, some new sufficient conditions on oscillation are presented in this paper for a class of nonlinear third-order delay dynamic equations involving a local fractional derivative with a super-linear neutral term.

Auto-Oscillation of Cavitating Inducers [PDF]

open access: yes, 1980
This paper presents details of measurements on the instability know as auto-oscillation which occurs in systems with cavitating pumps. Specific measurements are made of onset cavitation number and auto-osciallation frequency for a range of inducers. It

Prediction of the dynamic oscillation threshold in a clarinet model with a linearly increasing blowing pressure : influence of noise

open access: yes, 2013
This paper presents an analysis of the effects of noise and precision on a simplified model of the clarinet driven by a variable control parameter. When the control parameter is varied the clarinet model undergoes a dynamic bifurcation.

Efficacy of Intermittent Theta‐Burst Stimulation for Prolonged Disorders of Consciousness: A Prospective, Randomized, Controlled Trial

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Emerging evidence suggests that low‐frequency neural oscillations are dynamically regulated by consciousness levels, with the recovery of low cortical activity potentially serving as a neurophysiological substrate for conscious emergence. Targeted enhancement of these low‐frequency rhythms in patients with disorders of consciousness
