TAX REVENUE PERFORMANCE IN SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA COUNTRIES: ARE THERE EMPIRICAL EVIDENCE FOR MACROECONOMIC VARIABLES? [PDF]
This study, examines the dynamic effects of macroeconomic factors on the overall tax revenue performance of thirty-three (33) Sub-Saharan African countries for eighteen years that range from 2000-2017 employing the system generalized method of moments ...

The estimation of three-dimensional fixed effects panel data models [PDF]
The paper introduces for the most frequently used three-dimensional fixed effects panel data models the appropriate Within estimators. It analyzes the behaviour of these estimators in the case of no-self-flow data, unbalanced data and dynamic ...

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

Financial Development, Openness and Institutions: Evidence from Panel Data [PDF]
Utilising four annual panel datasets and dynamic panel data estimation procedures we find that trade and financial openness, as well as economic institutions are statistically important determinants of the variation in financial development across ...

"The Limited Information Maximum Likelihood Approach to Dynamic Panel Structural Equations" [PDF]
We develop the panel limited information maximum likelihood (PLIML) approach for estimating dynamic panel structural equation models. When there are dynamic effects and endogenous variables with individual effects at the same time, the PLIML estimation ...

Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Split-panel jackknife estimation of fixed-effect models [PDF]
We propose a jackknife for reducing the order of the bias of maximum likelihood estimates of nonlinear dynamic fixed-effect panel models. In its simplest form, the half-panel jackknife, the estimatorisjust 2θˆ−θ1/2,where θˆ!istheMLEfromthefullpaneland θ1/

Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.
