Understanding synthesis imaging dynamic range [PDF]
We develop a general framework for quantifying the many different contributions to the noise budget of an image made with an array of dishes or aperture array stations.

Time-Periodic Inertial Range Dynamics [PDF]
We present an unstable periodic orbit in large eddy simulation of an incompressible fluid in a periodic box subject to a constant body force. The width of the inertial range of spatial scales, on which this simulation models high-Reynolds-number turbulence, is about three quarters of a decade, and a significant $-5/3$ scaling range is observed.

Reconstruction of 3d video from 2d real-life sequences
In this paper, a novel method that permits to generate 3D video sequences using 2D real-life sequences is proposed. Reconstruction of 3D video sequence is realized using depth map computation and anaglyph synthesis. The depth map is formed employing the

Neuronal imaging with ultrahigh dynamic range multiphoton microscopy [PDF]
Multiphoton microscopes are hampered by limited dynamic range, preventing weak sample features from being detected in the presence of strong features, or preventing the capture of unpredictable bursts in sample strength.

High Dynamic Range Fluorescence Imaging [PDF]
Fluorescence acquisition and image display over a high dynamic range is highly desirable. However, the limited dynamic range of current photodetectors and imaging CCDs impose a limit on the fluorescence intensities that can be simultaneously captured during a single image acquisition.

Deep Optics for Single-Shot High-Dynamic-Range Imaging [PDF]
High-dynamic-range (HDR) imaging is crucial for many applications. Yet, acquiring HDR images with a single shot remains a challenging problem. Whereas modern deep learning approaches are successful at hallucinating plausible HDR content from a single low-

BID: An Effective Blind Image Deblurring Scheme to Estimate the Blur Kernel for Various Scenarios
In recent years, image deblurring has been widely investigated. In order to solve this ill-posed problem, a variety of prior models have been proposed successively.

Speckle noise and dynamic range in coronagraphic images [PDF]
This paper is concerned with the theoretical properties of high contrast coronagraphic images in the context of exoplanet searches. We derive and analyze the statistical properties of the residual starlight in coronagraphic images, and describe the ...

Deep Tone Mapping Operator for High Dynamic Range Images [PDF]
A computationally fast tone mapping operator (TMO) that can quickly adapt to a wide spectrum of high dynamic range (HDR) content is quintessential for visualization on varied low dynamic range (LDR) output devices such as movie screens or standard ...

Temporal Noise Analysis of Charge-Domain Sampling Readout Circuits for CMOS Image Sensors
This paper presents a temporal noise analysis of charge-domain sampling readout circuits for Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) image sensors. In order to address the trade-off between the low input-referred noise and high dynamic range, a Gm-
