Phosphazene Base Mediated (sp3)C–H Functionalization with CO2 and CS2

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, Accepted Article.
The activation of weakly acidic (sp³)C–H bonds in substrates such as fluoroform (HCF3), perfluoroethane (HC2F5), and acetonitrile (H3CCN) remains a fundamental challenge in synthetic chemistry. We report that the phosphazene base {(Et2N)3P=N}3P=NtBu (EtP4) enables the selective deprotonation of these molecules when combined with electrophilic small ...

Impact of Deposition Temperature on the Performance of Sputtered SnO2 Electron Transport Layer in Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesEnergy Technology, EarlyView.
Sputtering, an industrial technique, is demonstrated to be viable for fabricating SnO2 electron transport layer for the emerging perovskite solar cell (PSC) technology. This study finds that a deposition temperature of 100 °C during sputtering of SnO2 results in the best film, leading to high‐performance PSCs.
