Hash-Based Dynamic Source Routing [PDF]

open access: bronze, 2004
This paper1 presents and evaluates Hash-Based DSR, a DSR extension for large networks. This protocol reduces the per-packet control overhead of DSR by compressing the source-route with a Bloom filter. Simulations on large networks show that HB — DSR increases the network capacity by a factor of up to 15.

A New Route Maintenance Strategy for Dynamic Source Routing Protocol [PDF]

open access: green2008 International Conference on Information Networking, 2008
Although DSR can respond a route quickly, it yields a long delay when a route is rebuilt. This is because when source node receives RERR packet, it will try to find alternative routes from route cache. If alternative routes are not available, source node, then, will enter route discovery phase to find new routes.

Performance Enhancement Using Network Coding in Dynamic Source Routing

open access: goldProcedia Computer Science, 2015
AbstractNetwork coding is a new technique that allows the nodes in the network to code the incoming data and transmit. Significant gains such as throughput improvement, robustness, complexity and security can be obtained by using network coding. Dynamic source routing is a reactive protocol for multi hop mobile Ad hoc networks.

A novel dynamic source routing (DSR) protocol based on minimum execution time scheduling and moth flame optimization (MET-MFO)

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking, 2020
In general, the conventional routing approaches in mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) provide a route between the source and the target with a minimum hop count.

Reverse Engineering TCP/IP-like Networks using Delay-Sensitive Utility Functions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
TCP/IP can be interpreted as a distributed primal-dual algorithm to maximize aggregate utility over source rates. It has recently been shown that an equilibrium of TCP/IP, if it exists, maximizes the same delay-insensitive utility over both source ...

On the utility of network coding in dynamic environments [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Many wireless applications, such as ad-hoc networks and sensor networks, require decentralized operation in dynamically varying environments. We consider a distributed randomized network coding approach that enables efficient decentralized operation of ...
