Deploying trust gateways to reinforce dynamic source routing
INDIN '05. 2005 3rd IEEE International Conference on Industrial Informatics, 2005., 2005A mobile ad-hoc network comprises of a number of low power wireless nodes. Each of these participating nodes endeavours to pass packets for other nodes based upon a preagreed protocol. The dynamic source routing (DSR) protocol is one of the most commonly used protocols in ad-hoc wireless networks.

Optimizations and Performance Study of the Dynamic Source Routing Protocol
International Conference on Networking and Services (ICNS '07), 2007We have conducted a performance study of the DSR protocol, in particular, for scenarios where it presents poor performance compared to that of AODV protocol. We have also carried out two optimizations on DSR, namely: generalized salvaging mechanism and cache update of the intermediate nodes with source routes discovered during the route request packets

Security-aware adaptive dynamic source routing protocol
27th Annual IEEE Conference on Local Computer Networks, 2002. Proceedings. LCN 2002., 2003We present SADSR (security-aware adaptive DSR), a secure routing protocol for mobile ad hoc networks. SADSR authenticates the routing protocol messages using digital signatures based on asymmetric cryptography. The basic idea behind SADSR is to have multiple routes to each destination and store a local trust value for each node in the network.

An EST-Based Automatic Route Shortening in Dynamic Source Routing Protocol
2011The area of ad hoc network has been receiving increasing attention among researchers in recent years. The dynamic routing protocol is its key technology. The Dynamic Source Routing (DSR) protocol is a widely discussed routing protocol for ad hoc network.

Multiple sources and routes of information transmission: Implications for epidemic dynamics
Mathematical Biosciences, 2011In a recent paper, we proposed and analyzed a compartmental ODE-based model describing the dynamics of an infectious disease where the presence of the pathogen also triggers the diffusion of information about the disease. In this paper, we extend this previous work by presenting results based on pairwise and simulation models that are better suited for

Cluster Based Hierarchical Addressing for Dynamic Source Routing
2016A Wireless Ad-Hoc Network (WANET) is a group of wireless mobile nodes which are self creating, self organizing and self administering. In such networks, selection of routing protocols is an important concern as it affects the performance of ad-hoc networks in terms of average end-to-end delay, reduced packet processing etc.

Distributed cache updating for the dynamic source routing protocol
IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing, 2006On-demand routing protocols use route caches to make routing decisions. Due to mobility, cached routes easily become stale. To address the cache staleness issue, prior work in DSR used heuristics with ad hoc parameters to predict the lifetime of a link or a route.

Dynamic Source Reactive Routing Protocol for MANET
As the nodes are mobile so topology changes frequently that leads to link failure and lack of infrastructure support and resource constraint is the key issue that causes dishonest and non co-operative nodes. As the nodes square measure mobile thus topology changes oft that ends up in link failure and lack of infrastructure support and resource ...openaire +1 more source
