Experimental Study on the Workability and Stability of Steel Slag Self-Compacting Concrete
There is important application value and economic value in exploring the potential use of steel slag to prepare self-compacting concrete (SCC) and make full use of solid waste resources.

With the development of the Steel Truss Corridor (STC) toward long-span and gentle development, human-induced vibration often causes large lateral vibration problems and time-delay effects of the STC, which will have a non-negligible impact on the ...

Specialized interfaces of Smc5/6 control hinge stability and DNA association
Structural Maintenance of Chromosomes (SMC) complexes maintain genome integrity by regulating the segregation of chromosomes. Here, Altet al. describe the structure of the heterodimeric Smc5/6-hinge from fission yeast and define functional features ...

Stability in dynamical astronomy [PDF]
Hill's concept of stability is generalized and its relation to bifurcation theory is shown. A quantitative measure of stability is introduced that allows the comparison of the stability of different astronomical systems. Theoretical stability limits for triple stellar systems, for planetary systems, and for satellite systems are established.

Experimental Research on the Dynamic Stability of Internal Turning Tools for Long Overhangs
The roughness origin of machined surfaces is caused by the following physical causes: the copying of the shape and the roughness of the cutting part of the tool into the workpiece, the existence of vibration of the tool, and the existence of the build-up

Evaluation of Static and Dynamic Stability and Its Relationship With Fear of Falling in Patients With Mild to Moderate Knee Osteoarthritis [PDF]
Objective Knee osteoarthritis is one of the most common musculoskeletal disorders affecting balance. It is also a risk factor for falling in older people. People with a history of falling, whether being injured or not, acquire a fear of potential falling,

Nonlinear Dynamic Measures of Walking in Healthy Older Adults: A Systematic Scoping Review
Background: Maintaining a healthy gait into old age is key to preserving the quality of life and reducing the risk of falling. Nonlinear dynamic analyses (NDAs) are a promising method of identifying characteristics of people who are at risk of falling ...
