Dynamic stability of the scapula
Manual Therapy, 1997SUMMARY. The ability to position and control movements of the scapula is essential for optimal upper limb function. The inability to achieve this stable base frequently accompanies the development of shoulder and upper limb pain and pathology. Unlike other joints the bony, capsular and ligamentous constraints are minimal at the scapulothoracic 'joint ...

A cantilever loaded at its free end is used to introduce the subject of dynamic stability, including non-conservative axial external force such as the case presented at the end of Chap. 8. The essential difference between divergence instability with zero eigenfrequency and flutter instability, i.e., vibration with increasing amplitude is discussed. The

It is shown how stability theory of dynamic systems, emerging from various beginnings strewn over the realm of mechanics, developed into a unified, comprehensive theory for dynamic systems with a finite number of degrees of freedom. It is then demonstrated, how such theory could be adapted over the last five decades to the specific nature of stability ...

Danish voter behaviour has been characterized by increasing volatility, suggesting a growing pool of floating voters. This interpretation, however, does not seem fitting. First, there are no signs of increasing volatility between the two major blocs in Danish politics—the left and the right.

STABILITY OF FUZZY DYNAMIC SYSTEMS
International Journal of Uncertainty, Fuzziness and Knowledge-Based Systems, 2009In this work we are study the Fuzzy Initial Value Problem (FIVP) with parameters and/or initial conditions given by fuzzy sets. Starting from the flow equation of the deterministic Initial Value Problem (IVP) associates to FIVP, we obtain the FIVP flow, through the principle of Zadeh.

On the Stability of Dynamic Demand Functions
International Economic Review, 1974past consumption. Weizsacker [3] has studied a similar model. The demand functions are a generalization of the linear expenditure system (1.7) hi(P, p) - bi-i(P) E Pkbk + ri(P)r and depend linearly on prices (P), income (,) and on the b's. The b's, which in the case of the linear expenditure system may be interpreted as "necessary"9 or "subsistence ...
