Dynamic adhesion tension measurement
Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, 1973Abstract The Wilhelmy plate technique can be used to measure the adhesion tension, τ, which is the product of the surface tension and the cosine of the contact angle. By continuously monitoring the force on the sensing element, dynamic adhesion tension measurements can be made.

Dynamic analysis of tension structures
Computers & Structures, 1997Summary: The equations of motion for curved membranes are determined via Hamilton's principle and subsequently solved by the finite element method. Initially linearized equations are determined by considering small amplitude oscillations about the position of static equilibrium.

The fracture properties of concrete are rate dependent. In this thesis the results on tensile tests at static, moderate and high loading rate are presented. The results show the influence of the loading rate not only the tensile strength, but also on the fracture energy, stress-defromation relation and fracture parameters, like fracture lengths and ...

Mechanical feedback between membrane tension and dynamics
Trends in Cell Biology, 2012The plasma membrane represents a physical inelastic barrier with a given area that adheres to the underlying cytoskeleton. The tension in the membrane physically affects cell functions and recent studies have highlighted that this physical signal orchestrates complex aspects of trafficking and motility.

Like how static surface tension indicates various basic properties of surfactants, dynamic surface tension is an indicator for various features of surfactants under transient and non-equilibrium conditions such as concentration dependency or detergent foaming. Such features are key factors in industrial application. For example, determining the dynamic

Aqueous Humor Dynamics in Low-tension Glaucoma
American Journal of Ophthalmology, 1993We measured the diurnal aqueous humor flow in patients with low-tension glaucoma by clearance of topically applied fluorescein. Ten patients with low-tension glaucoma participated in the study, and ten age-matched healthy volunteers served as control subjects. The diurnal aqueous humor flow was 2.58 +/- 0.78 microliters/min (mean +/- standard deviation)

Temporal Tensions of Dynamic Capabilities
2021The literature on dynamic capabilities has taken assets as givens and left the processes of integrating external resources as organizational assets under-explored. In this paper, we explore the temporal tensions of organizations’ dynamic integration of resources as assets.

Effects of Pilocarpine on Ocular Tension Dynamics
American Journal of Ophthalmology, 1964Pilocarpine has been used since 1877 in the treatment of glaucoma because of its effect in lowering intraocular pressure. How ever, it is only since the advent of tonography and anterior chamber perfusion tech niques that the mechanism of this effect has been investigated.

Dynamic Surface Tension Measurement with a Dynamic Wilhelmy Plate Technique
Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, 1999An experimental method called dynamic Wilhelmy plate technique (DWPT) for studying dynamic surface tension was designed in this study. A diffusion-controlled model corresponding to the initial and boundary conditions of this method was proposed. Dynamic surface tension of Triton X-100 and SDS was measured with this technique and analyzed with the ...
