Dynamic Time Warping as an Alternative to Windowed Cross Correlation in Seismological Applications
Seismological Research Letters, 2022We investigate the feasibility of using the dynamic time warping (DTW) technique as an alternative to windowed cross correlation (WCC) for an indirect measure to quantify both the similarity and relationship between two seismic time series.

Tamil Speech Word Recognition System with Aid of ANFIS and Dynamic Time Warping (DTW)
Journal of Computational and Theoretical Nanoscience, 2016It is unfortunate that though the extant Tamil speech word recognition techniques have come out successful in detecting speech words from the speech word database by means of MFCC (Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficients) features and FFBNN (Feed Forward Back Propagation Neural Network), they seem to have failed miserably to come up to expectations by ...

Current-Aided Dynamic Time Warping for Planetary Gearbox Fault Detection at Time-Varying Speeds
IEEE Sensors JournalOne of the main techniques for tacholess order tracking is to extract instantaneous frequency (IF) ridges from the time–frequency representation (TFR) of vibration signals of rotating machinery.

Design of speaker verification systems with the use of an algorithm of Dynamic Time Warping (DTW)
Pattern Recognition and Image Analysis, 2007The problem of designing a system for speaker verification under the condition that the pronunciation of a phrase is nonuniform in time is considered. The DTW algorithm is studied as a method for smoothing a sequence of speech characteristics in time for improvement of the quality of further processing and making decision about verification.
