Computing and Visualizing Dynamic Time Warping Alignments inR: ThedtwPackage
Dynamic time warping is a popular technique for comparing time series, providing both a distance measure that is insensitive to local compression and stretches and the warping which optimally deforms one of the two input series onto the other. A variety of algorithms and constraints have been discussed in the literature.

In this pooled analysis of Phase 2/3 trials in Japanese adults with major depressive disorder (MDD), we aimed to characterize depressive symptom trajectories following zuranolone 30 mg administration. Dynamic Time Warping–based k‐means clustering identified four distinct symptom trajectories.

A Deep Learning‐Based Time Shift Objective Function for Full Waveform Inversion
ABSTRACT Full waveform inversion (FWI) is a powerful technique for estimating high‐resolution subsurface velocity models by minimizing the discrepancy between modelled and observed seismic data. However, the oscillatory nature of seismic waveforms makes point‐wise discrepancy measures highly prone to cycle skipping, especially when the initial velocity

An Open-Boundary Locally Weighted Dynamic Time Warping Method for Cropland Mapping
This paper proposes an open-boundary locally weighted dynamic time warping (OLWDTW) method using MODIS Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) time-series data for cropland recognition.

Semi‐arid ecosystems are particularly vulnerable to elevated N deposition. However, there is still a critical gap in understanding the impact of N:P imbalance by considering biophysical changes and biogeochemical cycle. This study presents the complex scale‐dependent warming and cooling effects due to altered nutrient balance on the Mediterranean semi ...

Abstract Pupillometry has long been proposed as a noninvasive physiological measure for emotional valence. However, its empirical effectiveness remains inconclusive due to confounding visual and emotional factors. This study examined whether pupil response patterns alone can reliably distinguish between positive and negative emotional stimuli while ...

GT-DTW: Bridging Graph Theory and Dynamic Time Warping for Complex Time Series Analysis
<p>Classification of time series data plays a critical role across various domains, enabling pattern recognition and trend prediction. Traditional methods like Dynamic Time Warping (DTW) have been widely used to measure similarity between time series, but there are challenges related to computational complexity and sensitivity to noise.

Peptide Sequencing With Single Acid Resolution Using a Sub‐Nanometer Diameter Pore
To sequence a single molecule of Aβ1−42–sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), the aggregate is forced through a sub‐nanopore 0.4 nm in diameter spanning a 4.0 nm thick membrane. The figure is a visual molecular dynamics (VMD) snapshot depicting the translocation of Aβ1−42–SDS through the pore; only the peptide, the SDS, the Na+ (yellow/green) and Cl− (cyan ...
