IRI measurement using dynamic tire pressure sensor with an axle accelerometer
Journal of Civil Structural Health Monitoring, 2016This paper develops a new method to estimate IRI using a dynamic tire pressure sensor (DTPS) inside the tire with an axle accelerometer. This method is based on a physical 2-D dynamic tire model. This paper verifies that speeds above 40 km/h (25 mph) are suitable for both highways and urban roads.
