Mitigation of Voltage Sags and Voltage Swells by Dynamic Voltage Restorer [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrical and Power Engineering, 2011
Modern industrial processes are based on a large amount of electronic devices such as programmable logic controllers and adjustable speed drives. Unfortunately, electronic devices are sensitive to disturbances, and thus, industrial loads become less tolerant to power quality problems such as voltage sags, voltage swells, and harmonics.

UKF based estimation approach for DVR control to compensate voltage swell in distribution systems

open access: yesAin Shams Engineering Journal, 2018
The Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR) is identified as the best solution for mitigation of voltage sag and swell related problems in the much taped distribution system. The compensation performance of the DVR very much depends on its control algorithm.

Serum Myonectin Levels Are Positively Associated With Physical Function and Lower Frailty‐Related Limitation in Maintenance Hemodialysis Patients: A Cross‐Sectional Study

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) patients frequently suffer from frailty, characterized by reduced physical function and poor prognosis. Myokines, such as myonectin, secreted by muscle, are emerging regulators of systemic health. This study investigated the relationship between serum myonectin, adipokines (adiponectin, omentin), and ...
