Simulation of dynamic voltage restorer (DVR) to mitigate voltage sag during three-phase fault

2016 International Conference on Electrical Power and Energy Systems (ICEPES), 2016
Power quality in distribution system is one of the chief concerns in the modern industrial and commercial applications. Power quality problem is an occurrence manifested as a non-standard voltage, current or frequency that results in a failure of end user equipments.

Field experience with Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR/sup TM/MV) systems

2000 IEEE Power Engineering Society Winter Meeting. Conference Proceedings (Cat. No.00CH37077), 2002
Economic pressures on industry to automate processes and improve efficiencies have resulted in a steady increase in the number and size of loads that are sensitive to voltage sags. The Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR/sup TM/) is a power electronic device which has demonstrated its ability to protect sensitive loads.

Study of Topologies, Power Converters, and Control Techniques for the Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR)

2023 International Conference on Integrated Intelligence and Communication Systems (ICIICS), 2023
Power quality is an urgent issue and is of the highest priority, especially for complex and technologically advanced devices, whose efficiency is dependent on the quality of the supply.

An experimental investigation of dynamic voltage restorer (DVR)

2000 IEEE Power Engineering Society Winter Meeting. Conference Proceedings (Cat. No.00CH37077), 2002
An experimental investigation on the performance of a dynamic voltage restorer (DVR) is presented in this paper. It is seen that under certain nonlinear loading conditions, the effectiveness of the DVR is seriously impaired due to the finite voltage drop in the transformer and filter impedances.

Power supply quality improvement with a dynamic voltage restorer (DVR)

Proceedings of EMPD '98. 1998 International Conference on Energy Management and Power Delivery (Cat. No.98EX137), 2002
This paper presents the technical aspects of designing a dynamic voltage restorer to meet the stringent requirements of voltage dips mitigation with respect to the magnitude of voltage dip, fault duration, permissible line voltage deviations and response time. An introduction to the IGCT technology based on latest transparent anode GTO (T-GTO) and gate
