Dynamical critical behavior during chemical gelation and vulcanization
Macromolecules, 1988Critical behavior in gelation and vulcanization of polymers is discussed in the context of polymeric fractals. Dynamic mechanical measurements show that in the critical region a power law in the complex viscosity and in the modulus appears. Viscosity and modulus are calculated around the critical point and as functions of the extent of reaction.

Dynamic Vulcanization of HDPE/EVA Blend Using Silane
Journal of Elastomers & Plastics, 2010Dynamic vulcanization of high-density polyethylene and ethylene vinyl acetate (HDPE/EVA) blends (50/50 wt%) in the mixing chamber of a torque rheometer was investigated. EVA was selectively cross-linked within the HDPE phase by transesterification reaction between ester groups of the EVA and alkoxysilane groups of tetrapropoxysilane, catalyzed by ...

Properties of dynamically vulcanized EPDM and LLDPE blends
Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 1996The tensile, rheological, and thermal properties of dynamically vulcanized ethylene–propylene–diene terpolymer (EPDM) and linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) blends were reported along with their crystalline structure and morphology. The EPDM/LLDPE blends were prepared in a laboratory internal mixer by simultaneous blending and vulcanization ...

Effect of dynamic vulcanization on PP/EPDM composite
Proceedings of 1998 International Symposium on Electrical Insulating Materials. 1998 Asian International Conference on Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation. 30th Symposium on Electrical Insulating Materials (IEEE Cat. No.98TH8286), 2002Many papers are involved with the mechanical and electrical properties of rubber or composites cured in traditional way but few involve the properties of dynamically vulcanized composites. The effect of dynamic vulcanization on mechanical and electrical properties of a PP/EPDM composite was studied in our laboratory.

Molecular dynamics study of replica symmetry in the vulcanization transition
Physical Review E, 1999We report on computer simulations of the vulcanization transition of randomly crosslinked polymer melts. We focus on the order parameter between different realizations of the same distribution of random crosslinks, as well as the overlap distribution of these systems.
