Active Shielding Design for a Dynamic Wireless Power Transfer System

2020 International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility - EMC EUROPE, 2020
The shielding technique by active coils is proposed to mitigate the magnetic field produced by a dynamic wireless power transfer (WPT) system for wireless recharging the batteries of in motion electrical vehicles (EVs). Active planar coils mounted in an electrified road with multiple-pads architecture are proposed.

Dynamic wireless power transfer in the presence of reflecting walls

Analog Integrated Circuits and Signal Processing, 2021
This paper investigates wireless power transmission (WPT) system efficiency of antenna arrays in free space and in fully enclosed boxes with reflecting walls. In this study we investigate the WPT approach for both a uniform transmitting antenna array and a random array.

The dynamic routing algorithm for renewable wireless sensor networks with wireless power transfer

Computer Networks, 2014
Wireless power transfer is recently considered as a potential approach to remove the lifetime performance bottleneck for wireless sensor networks. By using a wireless charging vehicle (WCV) to periodically recharge each sensor node's battery, a wireless sensor network may remain operational forever.

Maximizing Power Transfer for Dynamic Wireless Charging Electric Vehicles

2017
Dynamic (on the go) wireless electrical charging is a new, challenging frontier for vehicular technologies, as it would allow a dramatic increase in the feasible distance range of electrical vehicles. This paper presents a system under development for optimizing the power transfer for dynamic charging vehicles.

Noise generation in dynamic wireless power transfer

2016 International Conference on Electromagnetics in Advanced Applications (ICEAA), 2016
In this paper a basic mathematical model is introduced to study noise generation in a resonant circuit moving with constant velocity along a road with evenly distributed coils each one excited at the resonance frequency. The induced current can be contaminated by noise generated when velocity of the vehicle, coils period, or spread of the coupling ...

Dynamic Time Switching for MIMO Wireless Information and Power Transfer

IEEE Transactions on Communications, 2019
This paper studies simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (SWIPT) techniques for point-to-point multiple-input multiple-output channels, where a multi-antenna transmitter conveys information and energy at the same time to a multi-antenna receiver equipped with time switching (TS) circuits for an energy harvesting (EH) mode and an ...

Design of wireless power transfer for dynamic power transmission with position-detection mechanism

2015 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology (ICIT), 2015
This paper presents a wireless power transfer design with pick-up device position detection for dynamic power transmission. Since the fixed-point inductive charging is short of providing the power to the moving equipment, the paper is hence motivated to sense the pick-up device, by which the power and flux can be better regulated, meanwhile benefiting ...

A dynamic wireless power transfer system with parallel transmitters

2017 IEEE Transportation Electrification Conference and Expo, Asia-Pacific (ITEC Asia-Pacific), 2017
This paper proposes a dynamic wireless power transfer system with parallel transmitters for electric vehicles. The transmitter consists of two DD type coils which connect with one inverter in parallel. To overcome the power-null phenomenon, one additional rectangular coil named Q coil is added into the DD type receiver, composing the DDQ type receiver.

Optimal frequency for Dynamic Wireless Power Transfer

2022
To control the system for maximum power transfer, it is necessary to understand its behaviour for large range of frequencies. Based on the time domain theoretical analysis of a Series-Series compensated WPT, the optimal frequencies to reach maximum power are proposed, considering the misalignment between the primary and secondary coils.
