Numerical interpretation of controllability coefficients in nonlinear dynamics

Communications in Nonlinear Science and Numerical Simulation, 2023
This paper considered a numerical framework that can be used to provide some clue as how to interpret the role played by numerical and symbolical controllability coefficients. The framework does not require computing such coefficients which is admittedly difficult for larger systems. The main differences of this paper to the existing literatures is the

An identification method for static and dynamic friction coefficients

2007 International Conference on Control, Automation and Systems, 2007
This paper deals with the identification of static and dynamic friction coefficients. An approach based on limit cycles properties once a regulated mechanical system is brought to oscillations is proposed. This leads to an explicit formulation in the regulator parameters on one part, and the oscillation amplitude and period on the other part.

On the clustering coefficients of temporal networks and epidemic dynamics

2013 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS2013), 2013
As a basic concept of complex network theory, clustering coefficient is vividly defined as the closeness of friend cliques in social networks. Now the availability of large-scale high-resolution empirical data allows researchers to study social networks with more details of time, and extend the static network topology with temporal dimension.

Dynamics of Delay Systems with Rapidly Oscillating Coefficients

Differential Equations, 2018
The present paper considers the generalization of the averaging principle to delay systems and contains the following results described in the section ``conclusion'' of the paper: 1. It is shown that the averaged equation in delay systems can be rather complicated.

Atmospheric 106-μm absorption coefficient: dynamics

Applied Optics, 1975
The parameter of paramount importance to the propagation of an optical beam through a given medium is the absorption coefficient. For 10.6-microm beams, the absorption coefficient for dry air is established by the CO(2) population in the 001 and 100 levels.

GROWTH COEFFICIENTS IN DYNAMIC TIME SERIES MODELS

Oxford Economic Papers, 1987
Davidson et al. (1978), Hendry and Mizon (1978) and Hendry (1983)]. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate more explicitly than hitherto' that the concept of growth coefficients is a valuable addition to the range of criteria to be used in assessing both before and after estimation whether a range of empirical forms are (or particular equation is)

Dynamics analysis of SIR epidemic model with correlation coefficients and clustering coefficient in networks

Journal of Theoretical Biology, 2018
In this paper, the correlation coefficients between nodes in states are used as dynamic variables, and we construct SIR epidemic dynamic models with correlation coefficients by using the pair approximation method in static networks and dynamic networks, respectively. Considering the clustering coefficient of the network, we analytically investigate the

DYNAMIC FORMULATION OF COEFFICIENT OF RESTITUTION

1964
Abstract : The paper is concerned with the preparation of a mathematical model involving collisions between two bodies and the subsequent analog computer program. It considers a fictitious damped spring as a coefficient of restitution generator'. Formulae are derived for spring stiffness and the viscous damping in both one and two degrees, of freedom.
