Improved regional climate modelling through dynamical downscaling
Coupled Ocean-Atmosphere General Circulation Models (GCMs) provide the best estimates for assessing potential changes to our climate on a global scale out to the end of this century. Because coupled GCMs have a fairly coarse resolution they do not provide a detailed picture of climate (and climate change) at the local scale.

Robustness of European climate projections from dynamical downscaling [PDF]
How climate change will unfold in the years to come is a central topic in today’s environmental debate, in particular at the regional level. While projections using large ensembles of global climate models consistently indicate a future decrease in summer precipitation over southern Europe and an increase over northern Europe, individual models ...

Formation of Condition‐Dependent Alpha‐Synuclein Fibril Strain in Artificial Cerebrospinal Fluid
α‐synuclein aggregation in artificial cerebrospinal fluid (aCSF) leads to a distinct conformation with an electron density pocket motif found in aggregates from PD and MSA patients. Such fibrils has low stability outside the reaction conditions, hinting about the influence of cerebrospinal fluid components not only on the formation, but also on the ...

Improving sea-level projections on the Northwestern European shelf using dynamical downscaling
Changes in ocean properties and circulation lead to a spatially non-uniform pattern of ocean dynamic sea-level change (DSLC). The projections of ocean dynamic sea level presented in the IPCC AR5 were constructed with global climate models (GCMs) from the

A Linearly Deformable Pneumatic Scalable Microgripper for Universal Mid‐Air Micromanipulation
This work presents a fully 3D printed soft microgripper capable of active adhesion control through a pneumatic system. Its modular design can reach a high adhesion switching ratio of 373 and free release of micro‐objects at 100 μm$\umu \rm {m}$ dimension.

Regional climate downscaling with prior statistical correction of the global climate forcing [PDF]
International audienceA novel climate downscaling methodology that attempts to correct climate simulation biases is proposed. By combining an advanced statistical bias correction method with a dynamical downscaling it constitutes a hybrid technique that ...
