Tension analysis of a 6-degree-of-freedom cable-driven parallel robot considering dynamic pulley bearing friction

open access: yesAdvances in Mechanical Engineering, 2017
Recently, cable-driven parallel robots have been used in many industrial fields. Especially, cable-driven parallel robots have been used in specialized industrial fields where dynamical features such as high accuracy in systems requiring quick ...

Evaporation residue cross-sections as a probe for nuclear dissipation in the fission channel of a hot rotating nucleus

open access: yes, 2003
Evaporation residue cross-sections are calculated in a dynamical description of nuclear fission in the framework of the Langevin equation coupled with statistical evporation of light particles.

Dynamic Pricing with Search Frictions [PDF]

open access: yesSSRN Electronic Journal, 2017
This paper studies dynamic pricing in markets with search frictions. Sellers have a single unit of a good and post prices in every trading period. Buyers have to incur a search cost to match with a new seller and upon matching they observe the price and the realization of some idiosyncratic match value.

Solvent‐Free Bonding Mechanisms and Microstructure Engineering in Dry Electrode Technology for Lithium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Dry electrode technology revolutionizes battery manufacturing by eliminating toxic solvents and energy‐intensive drying. This work details two promising techniques: dry spray deposition and polymer fibrillation. How their unique solvent‐free bonding mechanisms create uniform microstructures for thicker, denser electrodes, boosting energy density and ...

Laser‐Based Sculpturing of Embedded Ultrathin Metal‐Oxide Nanopores for Enhanced Biomolecular Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Controlled laser‐drilling of embedded HfO2 membranes creates three layer nanopores with Gaussian‐shaped cavities sculptured in the supporting layers. These embedded solid‐state nanopores slow DNA translocation by 12‐fold compared to SiNx pores, enabling high‐resolution, label‐free detection of short DNAs, RNAs, and proteins.

‘Oxygen Bound to Magnesium’ as High Voltage Redox Center Causes Sloping of the Potential Profile in Mg‐Doped Layered Oxides for Na‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Na‐ion batteries ‐ Impact of doping on the oxygen redox: The sloping potential of NaMg0.1Ni0.4Mn0.5O2 above 4.0 V is caused by a new redox center (arising from the ‘O bound to Mg’), having a higher potential but being more irreversible compared to the ‘O bound to Ni’.

Fixed Points of Non-Smooth Functions on Finite Dimensional Ordered Banach Spaces via Clarke Generalized Jacobian

open access: yesInternational Journal of Analysis and Applications, 2019
Considering Lipschitz functions which are not necessarily Fr´echet differentiable, we obtain a non-smooth version of Lakshmikantham’s theorem in finite dimensional ordered Banach spaces . We also present an application of the obtained result in dynamical

Nonlinear dynamics of dry friction

open access: yesJournal of Physics A: Mathematical and General, 1997
The dynamical behavior caused by dry friction is studied for a spring-block system pulled with constant velocity over a surface. The dynamical consequences of a general type of phenomenological friction law (stick-time dependent static friction, velocity dependent kinetic friction) are investigated. Three types of motion are possible: Stick-slip motion,

INFORMATION FRICTIONS AND HOUSING MARKET DYNAMICS [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Economic Review, 2012
I examine the effects of seller uncertainty over their home value on the housing market. Using evidence from home listings and transactions data, I first show that sellers do not have full information about current period demand conditions for their homes.

Energy‐Efficient Bulk Photoalignment of Main‐Chain Liquid Crystalline Polymers Enabled by In Situ Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In situ monitoring of bulk photoalignment reveals how molecular weight, azobenzene content, cooling rate, and thickness govern ordering in main‐chain liquid crystalline polymers. Optimized copolymers exceed conventional thickness limits, maintaining stable alignment up to 130 µm with high energy efficiency and reversible optical patterning.
