open access: yesCanadian Geographer / Le géographe canadien, Volume 67, Issue 4, Page 537-549, Winter / hiver 2023., 2023

Vegetation and channel adjustment trajectories in cold regions: The effects of ice disturbances in two Gaspesian rivers

open access: yesEarth Surface Processes and Landforms, Volume 50, Issue 5, April 2025.
This study explores the role of ice jam regimes on the biogeomorphological dynamics of two cold‐climate rivers. The analysis of vegetation and channel planform adjustments on a 60‐year timescale showed that the ice jam regime had notable impacts on vegetation successional dynamics, which further modulate geomorphological changes.

An assessment of future climatic and anthropogenic impacts on the hydrological system of a semi‐arid catchment

open access: yesIrrigation and Drainage, Volume 74, Issue 2, Page 834-860, April 2025.
Abstract Climate and catchment characteristics, particularly land and water use and management, may vary according to the population growth rate, future food habits and water demands. Three climate simulations corresponding to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, Special Report on Emissions Scenarios (A1B) were downscaled using the ‘Providing

open access: yesEos, Transactions American Geophysical Union, 1985
The authors' general purpose is the study of the environment from the viewpoint of climate and surface runoff. They can claim a “first,” since these factors have not been studied together often. The first part (pp. 13–80) is an introduction of the mechanisms governing climates and river flow, but only six pages explain the effect of climatological ...

Societal drivers for the integration of hydrogeomorphology and human benefits in river restoration projects

open access: yesRiver Research and Applications, Volume 41, Issue 1, Page 211-227, January 2025.
Abstract Integrating hydrogeomorphological (HGM) principles into the restoration of degraded rivers can achieve sustainable results and provide various human benefits. HGM principles mainly involve understanding the context and processes that shape a fluvial system before any intervention, in order to support its dynamism and to align with its ...
