A scoping review of interventions across the U.S. Rural Dementia Continuum
Abstract Rural populations in the United States are at heightened risk for Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (AD/ADRD), are diagnosed later, and experience faster decline compared to urban counterparts, which may be attributed to socioeconomic, geographic, and healthcare access barriers.

Modelling Smart Card Security Protocols in SystemC TLM [PDF]
Smart cards are an example of advanced chip technology. They allow information transfer between the card holder and the system over secure networks, but they contain sensitive data related to both the card holder and the system, that has to be kept ...

Effects of Spirulina Enrichment on Bread Quality: Color, Texture, Volatile, and Sensory Properties
This study explored how the addition of 1%–2% Spirulina powder affects bread quality, focusing on color, texture, volatile compounds, and sensory characteristics. Spirulina mainly influenced bread color and volatile profile, while texture remained largely unchanged. The enriched samples also showed more pronounced bitter and marine notes.

ABSTRACT Subalpine meadows play important roles in biodiversity conservation and soil carbon sequestration, but gully erosion poses a serious threat to their ecological stability. Soil shear strength (τ) is a key mechanical parameter for evaluating gully stability and soil resistance to failure. However, the spatial variation in soil shear strength and

A Bayesian-optimized convolutional neural network bidirectional gated recurrent unit model for dynamometer card reconstruction in beam pumping units [PDF]
The surface dynamometer card (DC) of beam pumping units plays a critical role in monitoring well conditions and adjusting pumping parameters. While several data-driven approaches based on deep learning have been applied to this task, they often suffer ...

Abstract This study investigated cerebral and neuromuscular responses to three exercise models: time trial (TT), maximal oxygen uptake (V̇O2max${{\dot{V}}_{{{{\mathrm{O}}}_2}{\mathrm{max}}}}$) and time to exhaustion (TTE). Fourteen participants completed the tests in the following order: V̇O2max${{\dot{V}}_{{{{\mathrm{O}}}_2}{\mathrm{max}}}}$, TT and ...

Abstract This study compared a novel relative‐to‐body‐mass FATmax test (RFT; 0.15 W/kg/4 min from 0.45 W/kg) with a traditional absolute power FATmax test (AFT; 10 W/3min15sec from 30 W) in postmenopausal females. The aim was to determine whether the RFT protocol would improve fat oxidation kinetics during exercise, in females with lower maximal fat ...
