Abstract Pregnancies before and after removal of dysgerminoma have been reported, but removal of the tumor during pregnancy is rare. The case herein reported showed a woman with dysgerminoma delivered of a living baby by low forceps and episiotomy, who went into shock two hours later, recovered, and went home ten days later.

Dysgerminoma complicating labor
American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, 1956Abstract A case of dysgerminoma of the ovary is presented which was considered unusual because it complicated delivery of a term intrauterine pregnancy. Delivery was effected by low segment cesarean section and a right oophorectomy was done. The patient is alive and physical findings are normal four years after operation.

Clinical History: A 23-year-old woman presented with pelvic discomfort without bowel or genitourinary complaints. Physical examination was normal. Laboratory findings were normal except for a slightly elevated serum lactic dehydrogenase.
