A multifunctional Dysprosium-carboxylato 2D metallorganic framework.
We report the microwave assisted synthesis of a bidimensional (2D) MOF of formula [Dy(MeCOO)(PhCOO) 2 ] n ( 1 ) and its magnetically diluted analogue [La 0.9 Dy 0.1 (MeCOO)(PhCOO) 2 ] ( 1d ).

Crack‐Growing Interlayer Design for Deep Crack Propagation and Ultrahigh Sensitivity Strain Sensing
A crack‐growing semi‐cured polyimide interlayer enabling deep cracks for ultrahigh sensitivity in low‐strain regimes is presented. The sensor achieves a gauge factor of 100 000 at 2% strain and detects subtle deformations such as nasal breathing, highlighting potential for minimally obstructive biomedical and micromechanical sensing applications ...

Spin relaxation in antiferromagnetic Fe–Fe dimers slowed down by anisotropic DyIII ions
By using Mössbauer spectroscopy in combination with susceptibility measurements it was possible to identify the supertransferred hyperfine field through the oxygen bridges between DyIII and FeIII in a {Fe4Dy2} coordination cluster.

Large parity violating effects in atomic dysprosium with nearly degenerate Floquet eigenvalues
In this article we study effects of parity nonconservation in atomic dysprosium, where one has a pair of nearly degenerate levels of opposite parity. We consider the time evolution of this two-level system within oscillatory electric and magnetic fields.

Magnetic Attributes of NiFe2O4 Nanoparticles: Influence of Dysprosium Ions (Dy3+) Substitution
This paper reports the influence of dysprosium ion (Dy3+) substitution on the structural and magnetic properties of NiDyxFe2−xO4 (0.0 ≤ x ≤ 0.1) nanoparticles (NPs) prepared using a hydrothermal method.

Lithium Intercalation in the Anisotropic Van Der Waals Semiconductor CrSBr
We report the lithium intercalation in the layered van der Waals crystal CrSBr, revealing strongly anisotropic ion‐migration dynamics. Optical and electrical characterization of exfoliated CrSBr shows lithium diffusion coefficients that differ by more than an order of magnitude along a‐ and b‐directions, consistent with molecular dynamics simulations ...

Xenotime sand, a byproduct of the tin mining process of PT Timah, is one of the potential gadolinium (Gd) resources. Because of similarities in their physical and chemical properties, it is difficult to separate and purify Gd from rare earth elements (

Optical Spectroscopy of Li6Y(BO3)3 Single Crystals Doped with Dysprosium
The energy levels of Dy3+ ions have been determined in lithium yttrium borate (Li6Y(BO3)3) single crystals in a wide spectral range between 3000 and 40,000 cm−1 using optical absorption and luminescence spectroscopy, which also allow for an analysis of ...

Dynamic polarizabilities and magic wavelengths for dysprosium
We theoretically study dynamic scalar polarizabilities of the ground and select long-lived excited states of dysprosium, a highly magnetic atom recently laser cooled and trapped.

Permanent magnets derive their extraordinary strength from deep, universal electronic‐structure principles that control magnetization, anisotropy, and intrinsic performance. This work uncovers those governing rules, examines modern modeling and AI‐driven discovery methods, identifies critical bottlenecks, and reveals electronic fingerprints shared ...
