Prognostic value of right ventricular dyssynchrony in adults with repaired tetralogy of Fallot [PDF]
Objective Residual sequelae after surgical repair of tetralogy of Fallot (rTOF) affect clinical outcome. We investigated the prognostic impact of right ventricular (RV) dyssynchrony in adults with rTOF years after the surgical repair. Methods Patients ...

Purpose Anorexia nervosa (AN) is a major concern in adolescents. Attachment problems contribute to its pathogenesis and maintenance. This research explores the relationship between parent–daughter emotional dyssynchrony and the psychopathology of AN ...

Background: Cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) has been shown to be an effective treatment for advanced drug refractory heart failure in selected patients. Nevertheless, 20%–30% of patients in multicenter trials did not respond clinically. Moreover,

Presence of mechanical dyssynchrony in duchenne muscular dystrophy [PDF]
Background Cardiac dysfunction in boys with Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) is a leading cause of death. Cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) has been shown to dramatically decrease mortality in eligible adult population with congestive heart ...

Acute effects of mechanical dyssynchrony on left ventricular function and coronary perfusion
BackgroundPatients with heart failure frequently develop mechanical dyssynchrony, which impairs ventricular function, coronary perfusion and their interactions.

BackgroundRight ventricular (RV) pacing generates regional disparities in electrical activation and mechanical function (ventricular dyssynchrony). In contrast, left ventricular (LV) or biventricular (BIV) pacing can improve cardiac efficiency in the ...

In patients with atrioventricular block undergoing left bundle branch area pacing, shorter post‐pacing QRS duration was associated with cardiac reverse remodeling. Post‐pacing QRS duration may represent a simple and clinically applicable electrocardiographic marker for identifying patients more likely to achieve reverse remodeling.
