Research Paper: Investigating the Role of the Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya Interaction and External Magnetic Field in Increasing Endurance against Thermal Fluctuations [PDF]

open access: yesفیزیک کاربردی ایران
In this paper, a two-spin system, under the Ising model and the Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction, has been analyzed in different external magnetic fields.

Chiral magnetism of magnetic adatoms generated by Rashba electrons

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2017
We investigate long-range chiral magnetic interactions among adatoms mediated by surface states spin-splitted by spin–orbit coupling. Using the Rashba model, the tensor of exchange interactions is extracted wherein a thepseudo-dipolar interaction is ...

Stabilization of coupled Dzyaloshinskii domain walls in fully compensated synthetic anti-ferromagnets

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2020
We examine the combined effects of interlayer exchange coupling (IEC) and the interfacial Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya Interaction (DMI) on the structure of magnetic domain walls in fully compensated synthetic anti-ferromagnets (SAFs).

Asymmetric transport in long-range interacting chiral spin chains

open access: yesSciPost Physics Core, 2022
Harnessing power-law interactions ($1/r^\alpha$) in a large variety of physical systems are increasing. We study the dynamics of chiral spin chains as a possible multi-directional quantum channel.

Dimensional reduction and incommensurate dynamic correlations in the $$S=\frac{1}{2}$$ S = 1 2 triangular-lattice antiferromagnet Ca3ReO5Cl2

open access: yesNature Communications, 2022
Frustration-induced dimensional reduction is manifested in lower dimensionality of magnetic correlations compared to that of the magnetic structure. Here the authors demonstrate the role of the uniform Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction in the recently ...

Magneto‐Ionic Devices With Polymer‐Based Electrolytes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Polymer electrolytes are introduced for magneto‐ionic devices based on hydroxide and hydrogen ions. The magneto‐ionic effect results in a pronounced voltage‐controlled variation of coercivity in both devices. The switching speed is in the range of 100 ms.

Thermal‐Driven Diode Polarity Switching From Competing Helical Superconducting States in WTe2/α‐Fe2O3 Heterostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A Nb‐proximitized Josephson junction based on a WTe2/α‐Fe2O3 heterostructure exhibits a robust superconducting diode effect with programmable polarity. The diode direction can be trained by magnetic fields and switched by temperature cycling, revealing tunable finite‐momentum pairing states and competing superconducting states in symmetry‐broken ...

Interlayer and interfacial Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction in magnetic trilayers: First-principles calculations

open access: yesPhysical Review Research
We determine the Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction within and between two magnetic cobalt layers separated by a nonmagnetic spacer through ab initio calculations.

Optimal Control Drives Ultrafast and Energy‐Efficient Magnetization Switching in Van der Waals Magnets

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The accelerating expansion of data‐centric technologies is sharply increasing the energy burden of information storage, placing unprecedented pressure on the efficiency of magnetic switching. Conventional field‐driven reversal, once the foundation of magnetic memory, has become impractical in modern architectures due to its high energy cost ...

Measuring the Hall Effect in Hysteretic Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The authors highlight common pitfalls in measuring the Hall effect: in hysteretic magnets, improper data processing can create signals that look exotic but are not real. This Perspective explains the origin of these artifacts and presents practical measurement strategies that help researchers identify reliable Hall responses in complex magnetic ...
