Impact of E-maintenance over Industrial Processes

open access: yesComputer Science & Information Technology (CS & IT), 2021
During the course of the industrial 4.0 era, companies have been exponentially developed and have digitized almost the whole business system to stick to their performance targets and to keep or to even enlarge their market share. Maintenance function has obviously followed the trend as it’s considered one of the most important processes in every ...

Mapping the evolution of mitochondrial complex I through structural variation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Respiratory complex I (CI) is crucial for bioenergetic metabolism in many prokaryotes and eukaryotes. It is composed of a conserved set of core subunits and additional accessory subunits that vary depending on the organism. Here, we categorize CI subunits from available structures to map the evolution of CI across eukaryotes. Respiratory complex I (CI)

TOWARDS A NEW CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK OF E-MAINTENANCE

open access: yesSouth African Journal of Industrial Engineering, 2012
<p>ENGLISH ABSTRACT: The aim of this paper is to design a conceptual framework of e-maintenance based on a hybrid system approach, and to analyse its characteristics and the effects of the system on maintenance and business performances.

Enteropathogenic E. coli shows delayed attachment and host response in human jejunum organoid‐derived monolayers compared to HeLa cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...

Collaborative aspects for installing e-business in a maintenance environment

open access: yesBusiness: Theory and Practice, 2017
Business engineering process improvement is required because of the complexity of production and changing markets. Therefore, a multi-level-model is being developed by which it is possible to examine not only the enterprise level of the business ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.
